Unless you grow to full size, how do you know which pheno variation you are developing?

Smoke Report update: a buddy came over yesterday (professional smoker), so I treated him to ! 4 days dried Phoenix, awesome high, (makes you very forgetful!) with a great hash flavor

thats a good question, but its pretty simple. i dont veg! so the max height they can reach in about 10 weeks total time(2 weeks as a seedling 8 flowering) gives you a pretty good idea of its natural height and stretch, ive unfortunately had several strains go over the lights, usually easier to work with once i clone with less stretch and a faster flowering time.

so for example i know that WWbx1 reaches 3ft+(tall as my lights) with ease, 12/12 from seed after 2 weeks. any extra veg time and it would be taller than the area i have to flower it or i would have to bend the top down which i do quite often.

also my experience with Woody haze x (wwxbgmh) wasnt as tall/sativa as i had wanted.

Summary:

I have really enjoyed growing this BrandX poly strain. It fit perfectly into my low height tent, but another ft tent height would be welcome (and ordered). I still think if the oils were made into a perfume, it would make some serious (and legal) $$$$$$- intoxicating!

I highly recommend checking out his many intelligently developed strains. Why buy overseas, with the added risks?

I have 5 clones: 3-4 will go in my soon to be here Halo Drip Ring system under HOT5, 1-2 into the led tent upping the bubbler to 3g bucket with 6" net pot lid to increase stability and possibly more nutes for the roots to slurp

Photo Update

Phoenix hanging out to dry + 2 of her 2 biggest clones in my HOT5 tent, and 2 that were light blocked now getting plenty of light in the led tent. Lights are 22w Utilitech RP + EcoSmart NW (looks more like CW) + 17w Philips RP

These will be the final grow for the seaon as it gets too warm here between July- late September. Poly, should I then try to germ the other stain seeds you sent me, or do you have something else you would like to show case?

sounds good man. whenever it is you get settled in and things are up and running again, let me know. the genetics you've been working with have been making me drool so i'd love the chance to grow out some F1s and see what happens.

OMG you have a red tub! that is so fuckin cool. i dont know why i thought you had clones, sorry. my lil clone i m growing under t-5 in phototron in Organic Growers solution is pathetic. ive never had a plant grow so fuckin slow in my life. its just plain painful to endure.is that to be expected wiht organic soil?

They are clones. The point of my question was 'where are they now', just one week after being transplanted into the new system.

I too have noticed a slow down in growth, but buds are cranking. I double checked ppms & pH; rez temp is fine, but it's been freakin hot here- room hitting 90*s, but that's still good for growth.

Makes me think the full moon is behind it, as it is a null point-neither pulling/ascending nor waning

yes. i would use a mixture of soiless organics. make hte soil still somewhat rich in nutrients, but have a lot of inert material as well(coco, peat, perlite verm). this will serve 2 purposes, despite the fact that it will require watering more often(i water using this method, for mother that is, every 2-3 days. and some form of nutes, if organic is the way you want to go teas will be enough. the first purpose is it will prevent rootbound the amount of aeration should be sufficent to air prune. the second purpose is that of increased growth, i would recommend a tray underneath for each watering.
fully organic soils are.. good. just have too much compost and water retention. a plant can only grow as fast as the water and air it can uptake. compost prevents aeration and aids compaction.

on a shitty note tho.. i might be losing smost everything because the person im supposed to moving my shit to hasn't contacted me.

hopefully they do cause im supposed to be out in a week or 2. worst case scenario i have a place to store, them but that wont be good in the long run. so i may not be growing at all at this rate.
