Here are the pics of Big Bushy as promised. A little late due to harvesting duties last night with Q-Bert - the scissor hash blew my mind!!! These pics are at day 50 of 12/12. She is sativa dominant, but looks to be very fast finishing. I'm not expecting her to go much past 8 weeks. Currently about 30% cloudy trichs, no amber. Last watering she got a full feed, I took out the cal/mag but she got 30ml of 'Grow' and 30ml of 'Bloom' plus 10ml of 'AlgAMix'. I couldn't bring myself to starve her at this point, with her looking like she does. I will flush next time she's dry, and top up with just 'Bloom' and 'AlgAmix' at lower doses, then reduce the dose again for the watering prior to harvest. The smell from her is just out of this world. And the taste from a week 6 tester was strong and sublime. I believe my love for this lady will live long in the memory (very tempted to try some revegging and cloning - I mean how many hazy sativa dominants taste amazing and finish in 8 weeks?!?). So, the pictures;

And here are a few pics of the Kolossus at day 40 of 12/12. Some truly stunning shots of her flowers, was amazed how well they came out. You can really see how dark, vivid green they still are. The combination of the branch top structures, the pre-swelling size of the colas, and that vivid green colour will result in huge buds on these girls. Kolossus makes huge buds if you don't even do anything, set them up like this and craziness can occur. I just hope the extra air flow in the tent once Big Bushy is gone will help prevent any bud rot (always a problem with such fat buds), the humidity is staying around 35-40% now with the dehumidifier so hopefully I'll be ok.

I got a crap cut of the Tahoe, no taste and muted smell.
I heard so much good about it that I did a full tent of her.
Man was I pissed, and wouldnt even smoke it as the taste after 3rd hit was like an ashtray.

Vanilla Kush sounds good!
Was it at least a good yielder with 11 wks?

Yeah the yield was ok. I think she pulled 3oz with no training and only about 3 weeks veg. She was tall too, over 4ft. Great tasting weed, some of the best I've ever tasted - but that was 1 pheno from a 5 pk.

A few pics of the Kolossus, day 46 of 12/12. The colas are starting to fatten now, they will be immense by week 10 when I'm guessing harvest will be (maybe a little earlier).

Just took a pic of my Kolossus at day 46 12/12. Figured it would be a fun comparison, well... for you anyway :) The lime-ish green hair color etc is skewed from taking pic in dark, in reality it's white. Remember what I said about mine starting to flower so slowly, sex signs after 17 days, and it sure looks a lot more like your Kolossus from day 40 above.

Just weighed up the dried bud from Q-Bert. Total of 114 grams, so just over 4oz. Going by that Big Bushy must have about 6 or 7oz on her. :-)

She's looking great dude. Really nice and lush still. I see what you're saying about her being a little behind mine though, probably the extra maturity in mine we identified earlier. Thanks for sharing! :-)

Thanks man, I appreciate it. If in a week she looks like yours does now I'll be very happy.

Yeah, makes me wonder how much I really gain from the fast vegging on hydro. I can veg a week less now, but it took nearly a week longer to flower... Might have to try something next round to get them to flower faster (like 36 hours no light before switching to 12/12).

And that's an impressive result from Q-bert, would fit nicely to have one of those in every corner :)

Hey Bigby, I was just wondering, how much of Q-Bert's shape was on purpose? Is it something you are going to attempt creating again? The Q-Bigby Cropping Method or just something that happened to turn out like it did because of its location and the surrounding plants?

I'll be starting a new round soon and now that I know I won't need to (nor can even) lift the pots, I can bind the plants down again. Not sure if I'm going back to a scrog or use an alernative method (thinking of going Zen on the canopy with bamboo sticks and weave the most evenly divided grid of bud sites mankind has ever seen :D).

Just posted this in another thread - I feel it has a place here too;

I've got a Sugar Punch here with a seriously strong pineapple/berry smell to it underpinned by an almost offensively pungent chemical solvent smell that is somewhere between paint and glue. It is so strong that earlier I tripped out and thought I must have kicked over a paint tin, or knocked over some chemicals or something. That was from the tent being open for about 10 minutes whilst I sorted some cleaning in there. The smell hung around for about 2 hours. Strongest smelling sensi I've grown yet.

Ha ha - Q-Bigby!!! Epic. Love it.

It was pretty much luck to be honest. I need to go back over the pictures, document the development. I'll make a post with it when I do, see if there's any clue as to how it happened.

From memory though, she had some issues. I over fertilised her in veg, and she slowed right down compared to big bushy. I snipped off all the burnt leaves, and you commented I think (someone did) about her having only 5 blade leaves. In spite of her not being in full health, I still kept tying her down. And she got flowered before I would say she had fully recovered from the last tie down.

The shape was due to her being a 'corner girl' (LOL) - Roxanne, put on the red light lol - so maybe she just adapted to the area. With me causing one side to be lower than the other through tying, and then accentuating it by having the lower part furthest away from the light (which is what I did).

That seems to make sense actually. :-)

Oh man I miss that smell from my closet... but, it's on my fingers right now! :D Making some ice hash from a box of untrimmed SP popcorn and decided to use my hands. Hoping for 3-5 gram. It's the best way to taste the SP taste next to using a vaporizer.

That seems to make sense actually. :-)
Yeah, it does. :) Would still be nice to see the development / LST process in one post. You really seemed to have nailed it, a great example to others.

Where is the taken from?

Without checking the source I don't feel like I should spread the 'knowledge' about. I'm happy to use it to support my beliefs, and have been. Would like to know more about the methodology that lead to the findings though.
