Right so I know that the fan on the leaves is important because it keeps the stocks strong and keeps the plant cool, but if I'm in my flowering state could the fan be removed?

heres why I ask

im experiencing sone heat stress on my plants and its getting progressively worse with each passing day because of the outside heat raising the temp of the grow room, if I take the fan I have on the plants nand put it in the window I could vent out the heat outside

two issues there not sure about the cool nights when light has been switched off, and secondly hope will the missing fan from plants effect them

a fan inside is very important in flower without you could run into a whole bunch of problems mold being one

How helpful would a dehumidifier be? Would it be bad for my lights? Could the condensation build up be mold enhancer and or cause moisture on the bulbs?

a possible solution is to switch your light cycle so that the lights are off during the day and on at night when it's cooler.
Roger that friend, I was actually considering that but it requires time I don't have seeing as I'd eithweerr have a 24hr dark period or 24 hour light period. Gradually changing is going to require time my job doesn't allow

next grow you should definitely keep lights on during the day for as little time as possible, it is extremely beneficial.

as for removing fan leaves, from what i've read i'd say it is a bad idea. fan leaves are a key part of the photosynthesis process. fan leaves absorb light and create food for the plant etc. without them your plant will be incapable of using the light to grow. it is a common misconception that light directly on your buds is better than light on your fan leaves.

Just flip the light cycle, do the longer dark cycle. A one time shift in the light cycle will not be nearly as harmful to the plants as constant heat stress. This wont herm your plants unless you have a seriously unstable strain.

Oh, and leave the fan leaves alone. I can only assume the person that posted that didnt read your entire post and though you asked about moving the fan leaves and not moving the fan. They also could have been very stoned, which happens often on these boards :D

Yo P I would def advise you to get more than one fan. You should have like 3 for your room. Have one blowing at plant level directly on tops of plants. Have one at light level blowing on lights and heat away from plants. Have a final fan either blowing hot air out of window or blowing in. Maybe one of those combo window fans. Should help a lot. Also you may need to run lights at night. The switching over will not effect your plants at this point. And yes the other poster misread don't cut fan leaves.

Okay I'll start the 24 hour dark period after work tonight and have them kick on at 7pm to 7am or maybe 8pm to 8am. In already on top of getting another fan so I can put one in the window for venting and one on the plants, can't run to many items off one power stip without worry of heating the cord, I defiantly won't cut my leaves like I said before I'm not liking that idea at all. The damaged leaves can repair themselves over time I'm sure and most of the leaves areee healthy anyway so when it starts to get bigger and new leaves from they can pick up the slack of the bad ones, as far as the drying goes I'm watering daily now and they seem to be happier ill keep everyone posted and add pics in a few days
