I dont understand when you are not interested in saving space, or trying to ensure even light coverage, why anyone would want to lst. Im noobish but when i look at outdoor grows done in california i dont see anyone lst their plants. Your plants should be getting sun from all angles. Your light source is on a natural light mover and theres a breeze thats coming from all sides. Those two factors alone would make me just want to grow it all natural.
The goal of LST (low stress train) is to take the primary function of main cola and by bending and fastening you allow other colas to form..meanwhile the main cola still being main will upright herself and grow too..so instead of having a main cola you can double, triple..its almost unlimited what you can yield from one plant..even better outside. Check out my grow journals and you'll see what I mean..I started to LST and will never go back..
LOL--- I dont blame you man... thats the best pizza I ever had.. Tottono's in Brooklyn
I LST the crap out of my outdoor plants and top them and instead of one main cola and a bunch of lower popcorns I now have 8-12 tops on each plant.... Much better than my first grow with no LST and one main cola.... dont you think.
Im only getting 4-5 tops how are u getting 8-12..have you seen my journal recently?
Oh ya, i forgot to mention that part...... My topping technique.
I bend in veg as soon as 8 alternating nodes and wait until she's thirsty..much more pliable..but still how do you get 8-12, when I get 4-5? I'm still not with u on that..
