yeah well I was told it was good even seen pics online of people that use it straight through with no problems, also if you look up lucas formula it shows its a 1 part system 8ml per gal veg through bloom
i looked over a few posts on using just that. I got a lot of different things from what i read, It is not so simple because of a bunch of variables. Environment, I noticed lucas himself recommends his formula for use with R/O water. Different mediums. It isn't just a cut and dry formula for everyone in every situation. you need to tweak it for your best results.

so, every time you water, your running 8 ml per gallon of FNova bloom and that's it? Do you have a ppm meter?

Looks to me to be a total lockout situation of nitrogen. I actually have to agree with some of Chuckies(N during flower) comments but the fact remains that each strain will require different needs. Some strains will lockout nutrients at the drop of a hat, some can take anything you throw at them. If your run off is whacked out I would flush them really well, Even use a final flush product to remove as much build up as possible, keep your flush around the 5.6 range and flush until your run off lowers to an acceptable level. For best results what goes in and comes out should at least be in the acceptable levels. When I ran soil I always watered at 5.8 to 5.9 and my run off was at 6.2-6.5, a little out of the range but keeping it stable worked well for my set up. Run off in soil dictates when to flush, many growers forget this and then 6 weeks in they start seeing issues and wonder why? Good growing habits will result in a healthy crop. Good Luck.

I would say you really need to invest in a ppm pen or meter. Then you need to dial in your strain as( i can't believe I'm typing this, Sir Ganja said)lol
I think you have bigger requirements when you go into flower and your not adjusting accordingly. the ocean forest is probably carrying you thru veg.

I have a ppm pen but really could my problem be I never really fed in veg the whole month and half it got a 3ml dose right before I started flowering and since flowering ive been bumping it but maybe it used up all the n in the stretch? idk just a thought

Funny shit isn't it Chuck...Two blockheads actually agreed on something!bongsmilie I invested in a really nice blue lab, measures temp/ppm/ec/ph. One of the best investments for me. I grow in Rockwool now and have become very anal about my ph and ppm ranges. I have seen quite a change in my rooms also

From what I have put together, this is how I would try and fix your problem.

in veg, start a feed, water, feed. when you feed, run 400ppm and increase to 600 ppms
in flower, same feed, water feed, gradually increase ppms each feeding until you see tips burn, back down a couple hundred ppms and run that till end.

Never thought I would see the day, but I guess anything's possible. And yeah, guardian is a great unit as seems most of bluelabs stuff.

When I used to use nutes I did it a little differently.
Water, water, feed. I would always try to feed after the plants wicked the water out fast.
when they take a long time to wick(if the right size) that usually means they are "eating". When they wick the water fast it means they are just drinking. The key is to feed them after they have had a drink because they are hungry and will eat and grow aggressively.

but because he's usin flora nova your idea is probably best, I've never used it but it is a tad low in N
