Whats Up Brother High.Im Subbed Up If You Have Popcorn :bigjoint:
Had enough of that from the last grow.. almost out. Damn that shit was fluffy. Works, though. :eyesmoke:

Clones were supposed to be here today but the dude hasn't returned or answered calls - weird, 'cause he approached me with the offer, you'd think he'd put in the effort..
I'm excited to grow some PK though. Leafly says Insomnia/Stress/Lazy/Euphoric, which agrees with me pretty well.

I hope you get some germination soon mate. I too have just put some seed in, two Sugar Haze from SeedsMan and two Shiva Shunk seeds from Mr Nice Seeds. Not doing so well though, only have one Shiva Skunk pop up.

STILL DAY 0. Welcome to the shittiest grow journal yet.

The seeds had a lot of wet/dry cycles so I don't think they'll be germing soon, if at all.

Good thing I still have 54 left.. Put 8 seeds in water today, will check at 24/36 hours, moving ones that sink to properly-moistened rapid rooters. Got the first ones back in the dome tray with .5" of water on the bottom, still on the heat pad, but no insert. I'll keep an eye on them, too.

If I end up with too many, there's always the great outdoors..

Oh, also, CMH obtained. Much whiter light, I love it. Less radiant heat too, seems like - I can put my hand closer vertically and it only feels hot at about 6". Tent still gets to 30°C steady though.
If you are still having problems with germination, this is what I do and have a 95% success rate:

Dechlorinate my water due to chlorine and chloramine added in by city water. Ph water to 6.5 and drop my seeds in, wait for them to sink (about 12 hrs) push the ones that havnt down after the 12 hrs, wait for them to crack open and the tail to appear (about 48 hrs) remove from water cup, put seed about 1/10 of an inch under the soil, pops out of dirt withing 36 hrs, usually after 24 hrs. Hope this helps

Passing the time... Never did post dried bud shots of my last grow. I was too embarrassed that they were so fluffy, but they does the job.

I've grown worse

Lights, Camera, Action...

For starting seeds, I begin with a small glass jar (capers or anchovies) + RO water + a FEW grains of sea salt + seeds. Place in a dark cabinet. Once the tap is ~ 1/4" I use tweezers to place the cracked seed into a Sun Leaves starter cube, which I cut in half, as I don't want too much water surrounding the seed at this time. This has made a huge difference.

I put them in a food grade green (minimizes light) plastic storage container with strategically spaced ~1/2" holes in the lid, above each cube. I place this in my south facing kitchen window, and use an eye dropper to water. I keep them there until I see the tap root breaking through the bottom, then transfer to net pot and bubbler

hey slinger. about that way to germinate your seeds, you didnt explain what you do with the lights. Were I too use your method and use cfls for the first two weeks, when and at what distance to the soil shouldI place my bulbs? I assume the first part in the cup to be done in darkness, correct?
