1.Is heaven is better than "real life"?
2. Or do you want to go because hell sucks?
3. Or, are both "real life" and heaven equally good?
4. What is the point of life?

If the answer is "yes" to No. 1, then why did god just skip earth, with all its shitty-ness?
If the answer is "yes" to No. 2, then how can you praise the guy that forced you to live with the "alright" existence on earth [compared to heaven] instead of sending you straight to heaven?
If the answer is "yes" to No. 3, explain how.

God creates defective humans. Gives them shitty, short, brutal life. Punishes them eternally after death for being defective pieces of shit.

Proceeds to recognize mistake 5000 years later. Sends only begotten son to fix problem and provide salvation. Unfortunately son gets born in backwater shithole where only 5% of the population knows how to write. It takes 100 years for story to be written down, 1800 more years to spread to the rest of the planet. By that time however any proof is gone and people must rely on faith and what few books were accepted as canon.

1943 years later, god realizes second mistake and sends second only begotten son. Second only begotten son realizes what is in store for him and uses his devine power to turn water into wine in order to impress chicks, parties and dies at an early age rejecting gods suggested plan involving sacrifice.

Fortunately due to gods error and 106 billion people in hell, hell has a very poor daemon to lost soul ratio so most people in hell sit around all day and post on the internet as opposed to getting poked in the ass with pitchforks.

Not a valid response.

In either scenario he must do something that he cannot do, which in turn, is something he cannot do; as he can do anything.

Ahh paradoxes, they make about as much sense as the idea of god does.

...actually, no. He decided not to (according to my response). Aren't I the one to over complicate? ;)

...preference and ability go hand in hand, especially if you smoke pot.
No sir. They are two completely different things. If they were the same we wouldn't need two defining terms. The fact that you prefer to do something says nothing about your ability to do so, likewise your ability to do something says nothing about your preference to do so. You might prefer to only eat beluga caviar and shit on diamond toilets, but your ability to do those things could be limited by money. Likewise, you might be a millionaire and have a diamond toilet, but lack the preference to shit in in, and find caviar distasteful.

In this case, gods preference to 'create a rock so big that he cannot lift it', is assumed in the phrasing of the question and the only question being asked is does he posses the ability to do so. Again, his preference is already known; he wants to attempt the act.

You and your damn non-answers.... lol Dancing around everything but a frickin' statement that ACTUALLY relates to the question.... LOL

...nice :) When I am high, I have the ability to do that which is preferential to me. Other things, though, I am not always so sure of :)

Imo the OP tips his hand with question 4. "What is the point (or meaning or purpose) of life?" begs the question of there being an omnipotent omnipresent and engaged divine principle. It's irreducibly Abrahamic imo, and leads with grim steadfastness to the usual questions "so how do you get right with God?" cn

1.Yes heaven is better than real life, god put us on the earth as a test and we failed miserably.
2No I do not want to go to hell but some of us sure deserve to, god put us here but we made our own existence miserable.
3. Yes real life and heaven can be equally as good for some, but we have messed the world up so much filling it with disease, pollution and things that will eventually destroy us the world is fucked because of us.
4. The point of life is to reproduce, make the world a better place to live and to help and love one another. All we seem to want to do is kill each other and make people and animals suffer man is his own worst enemy and I believe the day will come when we will all destroy ourselves and god will have to start again lets hope we don't let him down a second time.

I take it you are not a Christian, therefore I must ask why does what Christians believe in fascinate you so much? And why do you think their is so much hatred and trouble over peoples beliefs, would it be so difficult to just believe what you want and let others do the same without using that belief to try and kill each other. Life would be much simpler wouldn't it.

1. Yes Heaven will be absolutely magnificent beyond anything you can imagine, a paradise to bring joy to all of God's children eternally.

[h=3]1 Corinthians 2:9[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]9 [/SUP]However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[SUP][a][/SUP]—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—

What does the Bible say about heaven? It it a physical place? An idea? A state of being? The truth is that the Bible has a ton to say about heaven. The Scriptures tell us that heaven is an actual physical place and that God was the one who made it. The Scriptures also tell us that heaven is where God has His throne. According to the Scriptures, heaven is the destination for Christians when they die. But what even most Christians do not realize is that heaven is not the final destination for those who believe in Jesus Christ. In fact, the Bible tells us that God is going to build a new heaven and a new earth. The highlight of the new earth will be a massive city known as the New Jerusalem that will be the ultimate destination for those who belong to the Lord. (More here: http://whatdoesthebiblesayabout.com/archives/what-does-the-bible-say-about-heaven)

Some of these verses are about the new Jerusalem created in the new Earth. I will mark them.

[h=3]Revelation 22[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[h=3]Eden Restored[/h]22 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb [SUP]2 [/SUP]down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. [SUP]3 [/SUP]No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. [SUP]4 [/SUP]They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. [SUP]5 [/SUP]There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. (New Earth)

[h=3]Revelation 21[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[h=3]A New Heaven and a New Earth[/h]21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[SUP][a][/SUP] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. [SUP]2 [/SUP]I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. [SUP]4 [/SUP]‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[SUP][b][/SUP] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
[SUP]5 [/SUP]He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
[SUP]6 [/SUP]He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. [SUP]7 [/SUP]Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. [SUP]8 [/SUP]But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
[h=3]The New Jerusalem, the Bride of the Lamb[/h][SUP]9 [/SUP]One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” [SUP]10 [/SUP]And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. [SUP]11 [/SUP]It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. [SUP]12 [/SUP]It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. [SUP]13 [/SUP]There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. [SUP]14 [/SUP]The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. [SUP]16 [/SUP]The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia[SUP][c][/SUP] in length, and as wide and high as it is long. [SUP]17 [/SUP]The angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits[SUP][d][/SUP] thick.[SUP][e][/SUP] [SUP]18 [/SUP]The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. [SUP]19 [/SUP]The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, [SUP]20 [/SUP]the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.[SUP][f][/SUP] [SUP]21 [/SUP]The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. [SUP]23 [/SUP]The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. [SUP]24 [/SUP]The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. [SUP]25 [/SUP]On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. [SUP]26 [/SUP]The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. [SUP]27 [/SUP]Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

2. Hell is burning endlessly forever with no water to drink or to quench the flames.

3. Our earthly life is a fallen world since the conception of sin, with Satan as it's ruler. One day earth will be restored and will once again be a paradise.

4. The point of live is to glorify God, choose to love Him and others.. And to spread the news of God and His son Jesus Christ to all. And to enjoy life in every possible godly way!

1a. My theory is that God just wanted to create physical reality, but it was our choice to go and muck it up with sin and pain.

2a. God made love and puppies, beautiful women, flowers and stars, and cannabis. Not to mention gave us life, the opportunity to experience it all in the first place. Praise His Name Adonai, Jesus forever! Life in the garden of Eden before we disobeyed God was much better, we chose to disobey God and now we suffer the consequences.
