DWC is very fussy,if 1 thing is off it will create a disaster.i didnt read everything but you need a chiller.you need your water temp under 70 and stable.PH needs to be around 5.7ish.you need a good PH pen and a good PPM pen.high air flow is key, dont bother with fish tank air pumps.get the high flow commercial type.over the years of RDWC and testing additives ive found dutch masters gold root zone conditioner to be key in having a nice happy root zone.i also use floranova and it is thick stuff but as you can see no "muddy" roots.

Chillers are not a mandatory item for any hydro grow. I have done dwc grows for years without one. And i have also only ever used fish tank airpumps and again no problems. Depending on temp the water will only hold so much dissolved oxygen and in dwc thats all u need. Bennies are the key.

i just went by personal experience.i started with fish tank pumps and no chiller among other things and yes while i have had successful grows i have also had a few disasters.if water temps go over 70 you can possibly be in trouble.whats great about a chiller is it will keep you temps stable and exactly where you want it.as far as the fish tank pumps i use 5 gal buckets.and when my plants are in flower the buckets are filled to the max with a massive root ball.look above at my pic thats a plant still in vedge.from what i saw a little air stone with little bubbles coming out were just smothered in root mass.i prefer the high air flow and keep everything really moving around in the root zone and well oxygenated.
the bennie vs sterile is a great debate.
