So Azamax sucks for getting rid of spider mites

I tried using azamax 2 days ago to get this spider mite issue under control and I literally soaked each plant with a 16 oz bottle and today I busted out my microscope and saw the little fuckers still crawling on the underside of my leaves. I'm ready to try an alternate solution at this point...unfortunately the hydro shops are already closed for the night.

Tomorrow I plan to pick up mighty wash to see if I can save my harvest here. It seems like it's gotten a lot of good reviews when it comes to mites, so I'll be sure and post my results in a day or two. I know I got these little fuckers from the clone provider...live and learn I suppose. I'm only 3-4 weeks away from the chop. I sure hope the mighty wash works.

I feel your pain. I invested in CO2, flow regulator, and tent. I flood the tent with CO2 - to about 15,000 PPM for a couple hours. The next day, I don't see any spider mites. I find flooding them every 3 days seems to do the trick to get rid of them or at least keeping them in check.

Mighty Wash is 99.97% water isnt it? I think I would try plain tap water or RO or something. Maybe im wrong could be confusing it with power wash. Sounds to me like they are selling $30 a gallon water. Genius or robbery?

I use ladybugs myself but it seems like alot of peeps i know are hailing spinosad as the next great thing.

What kind of investment are we talking? I'm somewhat limited on funds at this point...anything over $50 is really out of my range of possible.

This is a tent in my bedroom - more bugs is a no no.

you cant ever use just one weapon.
my nuclear devestation regime is asamax, avid plus tetra for translaminar death, forbid4f, mighty wash, no pest hangers. use a different one every 4 days.
bring the temps way down. Bring the wind way up. (not while you are spraying...)
I wear boxers only in my grow room. no shoes for sure if you dont like being naked.
no clones from outside douchebags.
good luck. they suck but I'm not worried about them anymore. shock and awe their asses dubbya style.

also this obviously for plants that are still in early veg or mothers. dont do this on anything with less than 60 days to crop. if its already in bud you are fucked and better off just riding it out and cropping as soon as possible.

mighty wash works but it will brown your pistols and buds dont seem to love it.

Ya man I've only got 4 weeks left to chop. Buds are allover, so I guess mighty wash is my next try. I plan to re-apply every 3 days till harvest to keep shit under control, but I am not impressed with the effects of azamax so far. I literally freakin drenched the plants in azamax from the top and the undersides of the leaves, so my thoroughness of application was not the issue.

I don't know that azamax is a on contact killer though either...

Seems to be one of the disadvantages of growing in a medically legal area: the spider mites have begun to build up resistances to the typical things most might use. I live in the boonies, never have a chance to get clones, and grow from seed. I did get some spider mites but I actually knocked them out in just a few tries with a combination of Neem one time and a homemade concoction using hot peppers, cinnamon, and something else I can't recall for the second treatment. I did spray the tent down with something was was supposed to be safe for vegetables, think it had pyrethrins, whenever I took the plants out for inspection. Haven't seen them since.

the last time i attempted to save a flowering crop I alternated mighty wash and RO water every day. They dont like water either.
also invest in a good sprayer with a hose type end and long spray tip. It makes getting the undersides of leaves way easier than a spray bottle

I just got a suggestion to try
[h=1]Fertilome Triple Action Plus II Insecticide, 16-Ounce[/h]So, I'll be chewing over my options for my shopping trip tomorrow. These fuckers must die.

yea im in socal and we have the Borg. They are almost unbeatable without severe action. Getting naked before going into the grow room and not taking in homeless clones has ended all that bullshit for me. knock on wood.

I got a great sprayer that came with my azamax kit. You can rotate the nozzle to turn upside down...very cool. I keep hearing good things about mighty wash so that's high on my potential purchase list. I have no problem with hosing these girls down every 3 days if I have to, alternating products. I just want something that will definitely keep them at bay.

Yes sir, no more clones from outside my creation ever again. The guy I got them from had a very shitty dirty apartment....should have known something from his shit hole would hitch hike into my place. Ugghhh

Azamax is best used a preventative measure , it will not even bother or upset a supermite by the way . Those lil fecks have a built in immunity to such and most other chemicals . I feel your pain here as Mites suck , no pun intended .

Recently many scientists have realized that chemical pesticides/miticides are not just bad for the environment they too become worthless in time as most insects and mites evolve while building an immunity . Horticultural Oils were the begining for the most part and like most other things that work in circles it too has become the best arsenal that we can use safely all the way around .

Oils simply smoother for the most part but some are toxic to insects , sesame seed oil is one that is toxic to spider mites and there really is no chance of resistance to it as this is nature and how it was intended . Nicotine is another safe and well proven weapon when it comes to natural insecticides . Growing it will make you realize how great of a plant it is for this alone , especially Tobacco Rustica as it has the highest levels of Nicotine and is not easily smoked by the way .

i looked that stuff up. its just another cheapo product. it says its for mites as well though. I wouldnt bother with it. its just pyrithrins and neem oil. you can get a flea bomb and some neem... that other ingredient is not for mites.

This is sounding a bit hopeless....looks like this crop is potentially bound for a big ass load of QWISO oil. I certainly am not gonna smoke this webbed up shit if things don't very quickly turn around.

I'm in a similar situation except I've never had mites, but have been wanting to put something on the shelf just in case. Problem is I hear so many mixed reviews.

mites arent insects they are mites... you need a mitricide not an insecticide. although some have both.
I just fact checked that and you sir are absolutely right. Looks like floramite and some stuff called forbid might do the trick, but it's very very expensive.

The cheapest I can get forbid for, which is a miticide, is 1oz for $65 which dilutes to 5 gallons. It sounds like this shit is some absolutely vicious stuff too.
