hi, anyone has anyone grown in a finished basement before. How did it turn out, with heat and coldness issues, in the winter and summer.

Check out my thread, it's all basement. If it's like mine, you need a good dehumidifier for sure. In winter months, I can use outside air and have no temp problems, but as it got warmer, I've ended up putting in a 12K minisplit AC. The climate down there now is perfect, and it's now sealed so I can use CO2.

I definitely recommend LEDs for veg & cloning. It really helps with the temperature issues, and does just as good a job as HID in my opinion.

hey I was talking about a finished basement, instead of unfinished basement have you grown in a basement that was finished before? it must be warmer than unfinished one, temp wise.

If the basement needs a lot of climate control hot/cold, it may behoove you to build a tent or box within the existing basement, (does not have to be permanently affixed to anything if you don't want it to be) then just throw an A/C - heater in your built structure and just exhaust the thing into your basement, and keep that air separate from your living areas (a closed basement door should be enough), and i would imagine you'll be good to grow. :)

I wish houses around my parts had basements, too close to sea level :(
