tiny clear worms on root. WTF?

i found a couple tiny tiny clear pointy worms on the taproot on one of my seeds that popped(in coco) but never grew more than a tap root. the rest of my plants are doing horrible as well. mother plant (coco) is sick and dwc plants are stunted as well. i suspected brown slime algae on dwc plants, but now i suspect these tiny worms may be the problem on all my plants. these things are so tiny i could barely see them on a 60x scope. wtf are they and how do i get the fuck rid of em?? please help

if its fungus gnat larva, mosquito dunks (bt) works pretty good for me. for pretty much everything else i use evergreen (pyrethrin concentrate). some hydro shops will sell 1 oz. samples of evergreen, but theres other brands @ as well. you can add to nutes. if its just fungus gnats bt is cheaper tho.

oh if you think you got pyth, fungus gnats would make sense bc they are atracted to damaged/dead roots.

You need to identify what they are in order to irradicate them.


Usual suspects are
Fungus gnats - these are translucent with a black head
Springtails - although these aren't worms
Nematodes - but these are microscopic so you probably wouldn't see them.
Detritus worms - normally found near decaying matter. Usually seen most in aquariums.


Check some pics of the above on google images etc and let us know.

thank you guys for yr replies. i do see a few fungus gnats here and there, and i have dealt with them in the past. however i last night after i posted i went and checked my dwc plants for these worms but i didnt find any. ive been doin this now for 2 years and ive battled pests before, but i dnt think thew fungus gnats are causing my dwc plants to die before i can get them big enough to flower. whats happening is they are suffering from root rot until they die. there is brown gunk on them that comes off when washed, but comes back quick. i have temps 65-70, humidity at 40%, great circulation, a huge air pump that makes the water like a jacuzzi, and t5 lighting for veg. and yet i cant get a clone to survive. ive tried h202, sm90, hygrozyme, gonats, various mycos, and even heisenbergs myco tea, yet nothing works. i thot the worms might be the cause but after further inspection last night there was no sign of them on the dwc plants. anybody got any ideas? im super frustrated and im now way behind schedule on my perpetual. i just dnt know what to do

bucket temps are 65 deg. no light. im doin nothing different than i have been doing for the past 2+ years of successful crops. environmental conditions for cannabis are perfect, yet still getting root rot

i disinfect regularly except i havent disinfected my ro system in about 3 mo. because i am in need of a membrane filter. thats why ive been hauling water from different ro water dispensers all with the same result-root rot. and i also have been disinfecting my water jugs each use. u could eat off my equipment, but still same results
