It means. "If i know one thing, it is, that i know nothing" Theres 100 spellings and interpretations of it but thats the shorthand version on both accounts really (the latin spelling and the definition) Ole Plato was a pretty smart dude. I say it to myself a lot cause no matter how much you think you know you never ever know whats really going on. and this applies to a lot of things. relationships, the government, how to grow, buying a product, physics!, space!, anything really! Basically the only thing you can be sure of is that your totally unsure of everything else lol!

As I grow older, these word's of wisdom my father used often around me and my mother continue to show me that my father wasn't as stupid as I thought he was. He truly was a wise man in his understanding of the world he lived in, and I have come to embrace them myself, as my understanding of life grows. I am even considering having them engraved on his tomb stone when that time comes. I think they would be fitting. " Go Fuck Yourself ". I know he would like it, and they would make me smile.
