Seeds

Figured id spend the money on good seeds instead of messing with these bag seeds. So I went on Attitude for them and quickly added the Rare Dankness Face Wreck to my cart seeing ive been eyeballing that strain for a week. Now just for those with shipping in USD$ it came out to be 125 dollars! This seems ridiculous for 10 seeds no? I was prepared to spend at least 80 USD but not 125. Ill stick to bagseed for that kind of money.

Most of the strains on there are generally all in the same price range from what ive seen. I Wanted a really good kick ass strain and I know quality and cheap doesnt go together but that pricing is just stupid. I would think 80 bucks for some seeds wouldnt be considered "cheap". 125 is a lot of money to not even be guaranteed for them to all work out from seed to flower.

Think about the value of the yield and the total cost of growing. If it is the breed you want, WTF diff is an extra couple of bucks spread across the yield. If $4 extra and you yield two oz, then it cost you $.50 a quarter to get what you want.

I would spend the money if I knew id get at least a couple good plants out of them. My problem is over the course of the last few weeks being new to growing ive tried just about everything with these bag seeds and I can get them to germ but have yet to get one to sprout. So I was thinking that maybe id have better results with good seeds but, god forbid I still had no luck id be furious.

I am starting to think I have no business trying soil anymore and that I should just give this bubble boy single shot DWC a try.. I have been mind boggled

$125 is not that expensive compared to some of the others on attitude
plenty of strains will be over $200

with over 4000 strains/crosses out there i am sure even the most fussy skinflint could find something that suits their needs

rare dankness are new kids on the block, there are many other similar type seed sellers on cannazon and attitude
with seeds for half the price of rare dankness that will likely be as good if not better

don't fall into the trap of buying seeds just because the plant pics look nice on their website
do a bit more research

peace

I bought a 10 pack (with 2 free seeds) from http://peakseedsbc.com for $40. All of his 10 packs are $40 and that includes the shipping and tax as well. His gear is highly regarded from those who have run it. I'm still pretty early along but I can tell you all but 1 of the seeds germinated and after nearly 1 month, they are looking healthy.

I may just order it. I didnt realize there are huge promos going on and if I order them rare dankness also gives me 5 of their Doc OG seeds for free and also*attitude has a promo goin on so id get 1 seed each of 8 different strains so for 125 im getting 10 different strains.

That is not going to go away with breeder seeds, they will still have same issues. Bag seeds are not that much different/weak to be honest, I've never had a bag seed not sprout out of all the ones I've planted as long as the pH, temp and humidity was decent. Only ones that I germed that didn't sprout were being watered with over 7-8 tap water, taproot didn't last long in the soil, never broke surface.

You will still have same problems with purchased seeds as bagseeds, they die as well. I lost a berry ryder and purple thai before using bag seeds to try veggin for first time.

So what would you recommend because I germ and get the taproot ive tried 3 different mediums. Rockwool, Rapid root which looks like a brown piece of cake and also just soil. And I cant get a sprout to save my life. temps have been perfect no damage transferring, ph levels great but they just dont grow after the taproot starts showing. Very frustrating

I would stick to one and troubleshoot, I am too in-experienced to diagnose your problem, but it would be more appropriate to upload pics of grow area to more experienced growers, and give them info about your conditions that are causing problems for sprouting seeds, best to get it outta the way with a bagseed as opposed to payed seeds, believe me they don't survive any better at that stage.

Soil is probably a good start for beginners, but I wouldn't really beable to say which is easiest, I've only bothered with soil and am still pretty new to vegging, have not even done flowering yet.

Pics and info bout your area would help you prob.

I hear ya problem is I have the last of my crappy bag seeds germinating now and those were free from a friend(I dont smoke dirt weed) but I did start a help thread and basically was told other than my PH being a little off everything was perfect. immediately fixed the PH and still nothing. idk if it matters but these seeds are well over a year old

If you've been only growing for a few weeks I'd suggest just growing out your bagseed or going with something a little cheaper. Get some experience before you go spending $100+ on seeds.

Keeping it too wet? Just work with the beans you got before buying some if you can't even get a bean to sprout. How pissed are you going to be when you can't get a $40 seed to sprout?

I go from wet paper towel to MG seed starter mixed with about 30% perlite (plain, not mg perlite).. i go into a solo cup with holes punched into it and a little perlite in the bottom. I stick a baggie loosely over the top to help with humidity and whammo. Bag seedor bought seeds, it works for me.

I am not a MG advocate for anything but this. I have better luck with it than other methods.
