Well yes GMO can be a good thing, in a sense. But idk about you but I'm not down with putting anything into my body that can cause cancer.

And nothing is good under the supervision of Monsanto!!!

They are buying up everything! Have you seen the list of shit to avoid from them?
can u get a link to it or show us or duh, me....i would be interested to see it. thx...

heres what i use... http://fafard.com/
its cheap and it works pretty well.. i use the organic bag, but like what other people are saying... if you got the room to play in dirt make your own soil.
1 Bale sunshine mix #2 or promix (3.8 cu ft)
8 cups Bone Meal - phosphorus source
4 cups Blood Meal - nitrogen source
1 1/3 cups Epsom salts - magnesium source
3-4 cups dolmite lime -calcium source & pH buffering
1 tsp fritted trace elements
4 cups kelp meal.
9kg (25 lbs) bag pure worm castings

- Mix thoroughly, moisten, and let sit 1-2 weeks before use.

fox farm makes good soil but it's not worth overpaying for when there are plenty of other ways to have soil that are as good or better for much cheaper. their prices are obscene. i just use some nice gardner's gold from a local nursery and add some worm castings, perlite, lime, and azomite, and maybe some cow poop or compost if i have it around. i still use happy frog time release fertilizer in my mix, though, mainly because it's what i have dialed in and it's good shit. also it's only about 8 bucks a bag and it lasts damn near a year for the amount i grow.

all this brand worship is part of what's wrong with the grow scene. it's not the brand, it's how they make their shit. you can make that same or similar shit yourself if you understand what's so great about it in the first place. people are so afraid to try products that don't have a mob of fanboys and it's unnecessary to spend all that money on soils and ferts. i could ditch the happy frog fert if i wanted to buy a bunch of bone meal and all that other shit, but i don't have the room for it and i don't need that much product. but fuck me if i'm going to pay 40 dollars for a little bag of soil.

That aint no shit bro, it's like that with everything though, you know name brand shit is always more and your paying for the name not the quality, this is why I started making my own soil and it lasts me forever and I can keep recycling it.

All I ever buy is my amendments and that's it. Hell a lot cheaper then 30$ for 2cubic ft of ff.

please to explain fritted

my mix is the same. i use composted manure as a source of N.
i use azomite and leonardite and humic acid because i read it in sub's recipee.
i have greensand for K.
i don't use so much of the meals because i had too many clawing issues. but i also dont cook my mix. i use it right away. i should let it sit but i never do.

i've just come back from the local plant nursery and come to realize its got good soil, but i still like the ingredients in fox farm. when in the world is FF going to open a local on the east so its cheaper to get it? is there a reason they stay in CA. these guys have to get paid a shit ton of money for what they are doing.

Allthough I do agree , you can make a mixture of some of the leading brands plus some of my stuff. Works good.
