i know its a broken record but some of my nirvana autos are not flowering!

Out of the 15 autos i have in a tent at 23 days (NL and Bubbleicious) 4 of them (all bubbleicious) are still yet to show any white hairs!

Now i have read what nirvana said about growing conditions and to be honest high temperatures was a problem (low 30s, even moved the whole set up the day i checked the max temp and it read 38!!!).

Ive had to sacrifice the carbon filter as it was restricting the exhaust fan and now have a steady 28.2 C. The smell isnt really a problem (yet) but i found it worked very well as a silencer for the fan, which i feel is a bit loud.

The problem is all of the other plants are well into flower and are doing very well, which leads me to conclude it might not be a problem with the grow conditions. I have introduced flowering nutes and hopefully with the temperatures sorted the other 4 will follow suit.

The only other cause i can think of is bad genetics. Worst comes to worse il just leave the plants to veg or even move them into the garden and let them fend for themselves because i think changing the light schedule to 12/12 will decrease the yield on the remaining 11 plants (20/4)

I know it could still be a bit early to assume the worst, ive been advised that some plants that have been stressed will flower later its just all the other plants are well into flowering. I am being a bit pessimistic but would rather seek help now instead of a week or 2 down the line.

I know its an old issue but can anyone give any other advice regarding this? And does anyone think changing the whole set up to 12/12 is a better idea?

All opinions welcome! Sorry for the essay

I think you have it figured out. How much space do you have? If you are tight already, thinning those plants out wouldn't be the worst idea. Personally, I would throw them outside and let the ones that are acting properly, stay in perfect conditions indoors. If you have tons of room, and really want those extra bubblelicious plants, then I would switch to 12/12 and see if that flips them. Amount of weight you loose per plant on the lower light cycle might be made up for by keeping the 4 problem girls. .

i just had a himalaya blue diesel that didnt start flower until week 10
if its a late bloomer
then the dark isnt going to make it flower
try adding some (P) lack of it slow progress of the plant it still grows just not right

but honestly theyre just different pheno's and arent going to flower on one given day

space aint an issue originally had enough space for 20 but i killed a few germinating. If i chuck the other 4 then ive lost nearly half of my original plants which is frustrating considering i bought feminized seeds so i could keep them all!

Im gonna give them another 10 days and then kick em out. This is my first auto grow so have no idea how much yield i will lose by switching light at least if we have a good summer i might be able to salvage something off the bad 4.

However if i knew switching to 12/12 wouldnt make that much yield difference i would definitaly go down that route because like you said the 4 might make up the weight loss by the rest...plus id save a bit on electric.

Catch 22 ive got over a week to decide..but right now im leaning toward evicting them!

@ teck yeh flowering nutes have been added i hear what your saying about phenos but if dark doesnt make them flower then i may aswell leave them there. Problem is after 12 weeks the grow room will be comprimised and everything has to be removed like it was never there...after a few weeks business can resume as normal..maybe see if any of my growing freinds wants to adopt them if they are just late bloomers

decisions decisions

this will sound crazy ..................give it 2 cups of selezter water .....the stroe brand all natural no sodium

i do not understand it but it triggers flowering ..........wanted to see if co2 water helped it grow it trigged the flowering in berry ryder 3 weeks before her sister

it sounds lke they are way to young to be flowering just yet, even though its an auto, have patience, sometimes it takes them a little longer, i think ur temp is realyl bad tho, anything below freezing the plant water will turn to ice inside the plant thus killing it.

i run my autos on 24/0 and then 20/4, 18,6 and then eventually toward the end they goto into full 12and 12 and lower from there.

on a side note, most breeders blow, nirvan in particular, i have heard WAY WAY MORE negative reviews then positive, it seems like they ar ejust striagt pollen chuckers, they just use plants to maek the seeds and make up some gay name for it, i remmebner one year at a canna cup, nirvana was there and the spokesman was saying how they had 4 new differnt stains that were great...so ur telling me they made elite genetics in under 5 or 6 grows, no backcrossing im sure, and im even double sure that they didnt keep track of F1 F2 or S1' or anything like that

im my HONEST opinon, run from nirvana and never look back, find a real reputable breeder you haev heard alot of good genetics, yea nirvana seeds are cheap and waht not, BUT, you get what you Pay for...goodluck

i would also like to add, marijuana plant doenst think of its life in 12 hour cycle, that is just whats given outside and what its to expect

the moral story of this dont count days, hours, minutes, seconds...fuck it u know, itll be ready when its ready and done when its done.... dont rush things, every strain is different, some mj originated from various locations on planet earth, to name a few, midland USA, afghan, any tropical place. depending on how they were genetically put together gives you what you put into the ground and grow, i am not sure if this made sense to any, goodluck

Autos are unstable...

that is untrue, if you get a good enough breeder autos can pack the same potency with very nice yields, i was able to yield 4 oz off of one AK auto so....good luck , maybe give it a try

I feel like you didn't give us one of the most useful pieces of info needed.

Of the 15 plants which you stated are Bubblicious and NL, how many are Bubblicious? only the 4 that are not flowering, 10 and 40% arent flowering?? I hate to make comments about strain when we don't know if the same strain has already flowered under the same conditions.

Also if for your temps if you are talking Celsius, that 38 is way to high and will kill your plants and even that 28 isn't too ideal. If you are speaking Fahrenheit (which I highly doubt) you have the opposite problem.

@ sadface 6 NL and 7 bubble out of the 7 bubble 4 hadnt started flowering sorry for not being clearer. The other 3 are absolutley covered in white hairs baring in mind they started showing flowers at about 2.5 weeks. All grown in same room, reguarly moved about within the room. I actually read the original post 3 times before posting it to make sure i was being clear LOL only just clocked that apologies again!

HOWEVER one has started to show a few white hairs where the leaf hits connects to the stem. So like most people have said, just gonna be patient every plant is individual and will flower at their own pace ( i hope!)

@justugh you mean fizzy water yeh?? i dont know what stroe brand is im not in the US but that is a very interesting idea lol..maybe as a last ditch attempt.

And yes i know my temperatures are appauling they were fine to begin with but the weather has started to get really warm last few weeks (over here we get warm weather about 1 month per year ffs) I removed the carbon filter which dropped it a few degrees have another intake fan in the post but not sure if that will help or not i can only try. Im even contemplating running the connecting airduct through ice cold water! The 38 high only happened one night (keep my lights on at night dark period during the hotteest part of the day) absolutly shit myself and moved the whole setup to a new area. And yes i am talking centigrade. Im still getting highs of 31-32 so that new fan cant come quick enough and im kicking myself for not preparing for this

This is my first indoor grow and first time with autoflowers the only previous experience i had was growing bag seed and papaya in pots in my mums garden from 14 to 18 yrs old lol. Whole different ball park! I appreciate the feedback boys

@aknight i know nirvana have had some bad press but im gonna wait untill grow is completed before i start bashing em.

Bad news always spreads faster than good news (thats always what i used to tell my clients when i was in sales haha)

I'm not sure how you're sure about what all they did or didn't do. You're speculating.. Anyway, I'm growing Bubblicious and AK48 reg and Northern Lights and Short Rider autos without any problems. If you search on RIU, you'll find that a plethora of people have experienced problems with a wide variety of strains form a variety of breeders. Also, Nirvana is the only Breeder that I know of who allows it's customers to rate and leave reviews on every single strain that they offer on their site. (go and look around) I've read just about every last one of them (hundreds) with regards to strains I was interested in. I've also read a few grow journals and reviews on RIU. I can assure you that I've seen WAY WAY WAY MORE positive reviews than negative. The the few negative reviews I have seen have come from people like yourself who don't have any first hand experience, or from someone who blamed their failure on "genetics." (not talking about you OP) Sure they're might be some that were legitimate, but nothing close to being on the scale that you've suggested.

actually, im not speculating, im simply making a estimation of how nirvana does its job. The job of nirvana seeds it to grow seeds, make strains, sell strains etc. when your 1 company has 234 different strains like nirvana does (im being sarcastic of course) its IMPOSSIBLE to get real QUALITY breeding done. Now, thats not to say that all their strains suck but, when one company has so many strains, there is just no feasible way that they would be able to keep interbreeding, crossbreeding or cubing that many strains, in order to make a STABLE F1 that is relativley uniform takes easily at least 2 or 3 years of cubing or crossing, and thats saying you have at least 50-100 plants going of that specific strain all the time constantly planting and weeding out bad characteristics and keeping the good. in order for a strain to be FOR REAL good ass stable f1 genetics, the breeder would need to work on this or these seed for many many many years, i dont care if you beleive me, I have tried to breed, I know what its like, and you CANT just make a great strain by crossing 2 plants out of 5 seeds and calling it a strain. because you will have no idea what the plant even really is, or does or doesnt do, or what it tastes like etc...at this point I digress the point is. when a company has 60 strains and they say they are alll heady ass dank fucking shit that finishes in 45 days is full of bullshit. its just my 2 pennies, take it or leave it. peace.

ps. on a side note, if you go back in canna history you will find that any prominent strains today (like skunk, or northern lights) these strains have been bred and inbred and re-bred and cubed and re-cubed a million fucking times, to get it to be REALLY stable, REALLY good, pot. end of story :)

ya but half the time its people not researching the strain there buying
his plants just showed preflower
from what i gathered
the ruderalis dominant plants probably preflowered first then the others are still chuggin along
anyone inexperienced with the qwerks of auto's would throw them in 12/12 and expect them to flower when in fact lighting has nothing to do with it

OP do you know how to tell the difference between leaves of a sativa , indica and ruderalis
if you study the shapes of the different leaves you can tell within the first few weeks how your plant is going to act through its life span
alot of times they act just like the leaves look
just speaking from the few auto's ive grown

Your whole statement is an assumption and your opinion that has no factual basis whats so ever dude lol. Plus you do not work at Nirvana and do not have any first hand knowledge about what they do there or how they do it. Yes it is just your 2 pennies.

update: 2 of the 4 are now showing white hairs!

like i said first time growing autos, and id rather find soutions to potential problems prematurely

@tekdc i will post some pictures when i get a chance to it. Theres no computer where the grow room is an im not too keen on carrying pictures of the grow on me. I know indica are wide an sativa long an narrow not sure about ruderelis i will googe but all the leaves from every plant look pretty similar, except a couple of the bubbleicious which are extremey wide and fat

also i hadnt watered in just over a week and i think that slowed growth (only 1 of the plants started to droop but im assuming that is long time considering the high temps) gave em loads of water last night and the soil was bone dry early this morning when i checked so im assuming the're pretty thirsty. Will water again in next few days because ive got a new ph probe and i think it needs wet soil to be accurate

Sucks about the two girls who aren't showing yet...I am a Nirvana customer myself and they have always been good to me when I order my feminized photos... I decided to try some autos and just had the two Bubblelicious seeds I direct sowed pop the soil today...I soaked the seeds for 24 hours and planted Sunday...

Anyway im subbing up to see how your girls do...I am hoping mine flower on time and I'll post here to compare with yours...how big are your buckets/ pots? I heard they don't flower until the roots hit the sides of the pot (just what I've read, not something I'm claiming as fact. Can anyone confirm?) I'm just thinking out loud here but maybe that's something that could help you...doesn't seem likely tho BC then they would never flower if put in ground ...but once again I'm looking for confirmed knowledge on the whole roots thing, not saying its true...

Work on those temps and good luck, keep us posted
