Is Justified Murder Excusable?

I've known a few of these guy's in my career. But be careful the courts don't see it as justifiable, unless they do it!......How about murdering a child molester?
I think everyone everywhere regardless of what they believe should get together and kill all the known pedophiles.

There's an inmate at Folsom prison that was home one Sat & his 8 year old son came home & told him the next door neighbor had just molested him....he didn't call police....he wnet next door with a baseball bat & beat the guy to death.....he pled to 2nd degree murder, 15-to-life......
That is bullshit he should be a free man for standing up like a man and protecting his child. Hell if anything he saved other kids from being molested by that fucker. The judge that locked him away shouldn't be allowed to be a judge anymore. Idiots are running America and have been for awhile now. bongsmilie

Even though I am thoroughly irreligious, i believe at a visceral level that vengeance is not my privilege. I admit the temptation would be there; I am after all a human animal, warts 'n' all. A solid revenge fantasy is very satisfying, and I have in the past indulged some detailed and quite arrestingly strange ones, but in the final analysis I probably would choose to be better than that bastard. cn

I believe in forgiveness for accidents. I could probably forgive someone for a one time indescretion, say hurting or killing a loved one in a drunk driving act. I would imagine they would punish themselves enough. However, if they were habitual drunk drivers with no remorse, that is different; as is physically hurting someone on purpose. People who perpetrate physical violence against others should expect the same. I would never go to someone's home to steal their plant without expecting to be shot in the act if caught. There are consequences for your actions. Most people will not ever fight back, and that is why there are so many abusers (concealed handgun licensed states have seen a drop in violent crimes). I would not "hold onto anger" to the extent that it would hurt me. It's business.

What is the difference between criminals and cops? One does wrong, the other is an enforcer of the law. You are simply removing the joke of a "justice" system and showing someone that their actions have consequences, and likely saving many others from their abuse. Have you ever seen someone pull a knife, or a gun, then get it taken away? They usually cry like a bitch, "please don't shoot/stab me". As long as they have the power, and that is usually what it is about, everything is good to them. Reverse the situation and they beg for mercy, while deserving none.

Simply threaten my momma with a hammer and see if I don't shove it up your ass, literally.

I fully understand those feelings. I have a problem with vigilantism however. Once the barrier to it is removed, where does one draw the line? I see no natural steps at which usually reasonable people, once aggrieved, will say Stop. cn

I agree there. I think there is an easy distinction between the two, one loooks for trouble (self fulfilling prophecy), the other trys to end it with a specific person.

Say someone many years ago beat my mother very badly for no reason other then them being an alcoholic.
Say that person disappeared. Would that be justified?
No, lets just say someone isn't around because of me. Lets say hypothetically they beat my mom with a hammer. And hypothetically they stopped breathing shortly after.

Just hoping for reassurance to ease the nightmares.

So are you claiming that you killed your Mother's ex, and hid his body? And then you are now asking on the world wide web if it was justifiable so you can sleep easier?

Mmkay, while I think this is just a topic to create discussion, if you feel it was justifiable, you should not have problems sleeping. If it is haunting you, then obviously you feel you made the wrong moves.

Good point.
or maybe you killed your father for abusing your mother?
if I hit someone with a hammer I wouldn't have to do it more than twice and they would be dead.
Sorta sounds like you saw the threat of attack and killed the guy.

Your Mom may do things to others you would never think of.

If u can sleep at night and know ur actions prevented more harm than they caused I think u have ur answer...

Not a damn person can really answer this question until they're put into a situation that requires them to decide if they can end someones life..

Just curious here.

So if the "justified murder" victim has a family are his family
members then justified also?

Slippery slope.

That's gang philosophy. One of the reasons I hate the ignorance in the ghettos. If my brother raped your wife and you killed him, I would not want retaliation against you. You did the same as I would have. THAT is justifiable and ends there.

Naturally I agree, I don't do the gangland mentality but all too many people do.

I'm more pointing out the other people who may then "feel" justified and
turn the tables back again.

Where does it end?

It will only be answered in that moment, anything said or projected out here is pure speculation. We all want to think we can and will always choose to do the right thing, but guess what, it can not, does not and will not happen.

My belief is as follows.

Scenario - You walk in on a pervert that was sodomizing your 7 year old son/daughter. If you allow that person to leave your house with breath still in it's body, you never deserved to have your children in the first place and deserve the same penalty as the pervert.

That's how me and my family roll and damn proud of it.

Peace until peace don't work

~~~> http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/19/father-kills-molester-texas-no-charges_n_1610465.html
SHINER, Texas -- Hearing his 5-year-old daughter crying from behind a barn, a father ran and discovered the unthinkable: A man molesting her. The father pulled the man off his daughter, authorities say, and started pummeling him to death with his fists.
With his daughter finally safe, the father frantically called 911, begging a dispatcher to find his rural ranch and send an ambulance.
It ends where the the person with the aggression lets go. In the end will killing that person create any true justice? Is it worth ruining your mental stability for years and years.
Dont get me wrong when caught in the moment I feel us as humans can justify any means. It's all how we choose to look at a given situation.
Although I'm a believer in the energy we put out we get back, I feel there's no way an individual can put that shitty of energy out and not get the same in return one way or another and not by my hand. Patience is a virtue
