12/12 from seed, need some advice!

Hello RIU,

I know, most of you are like "another 12/12 thread" go check del's and I have, not all of it, but went through a good chunk of pages. So I have gathered a bit of intel, and I had some questions that I need a second opinion on... I plan to do a 12/12 sometime after my auto finishes up. Really interesting to me, since space/electrical bill is what's really holding me back here. I have a 1.5x2 box with only 36" of vert height, thats excluding the space taken by lights filters etc.

First off, is it worth it in the first place? How long till harvest? To me, it looks like just as much time as a reg photo 18/6 then 12/12, but you get to plant like 4x more plants cause you'll have one main cola and very little side branching? I've read that even with the 12/12 from seed, they are still technically in the veg state for the first few weeks, and would I even have to bother wit veg nutes? I havent seen much on lst/topping for 12/12'ers. Is it b/c theres not much time to recover before going straight into flowering? Lastly... I know this has been asked a bunch, but any strains that are more suited for 12/12? I've seen anything with cheese thrown around a lot.

One off topic question since it never got answered... My grinder atm is a total mess, and I wanted to clean it, but make qwiso with it. The only problem is I have nowhere to dry it for the next couple days b/c I heard it smells a lot like alcohol. I have personally never smelled iso, not sure if it's that much diff than normal rubbing alcohol. So I thought of letting it dry in my grow box, and the CF should take care of the smell. Is there anything I should be worried about for my plants inside?

It has been my XP that starting seedz under 12/12 has no effect on them. They just think they are starting early in the season. I would start it under 18/6 then in 4 days make it 16/8 then in another 4 days make it 14/10 and 4 more days make it 12/12 that way it actually thinks its at the end of the season.

I have vertical 30" grow room. All my previous grows I was growing C99, and one Super Lemon Haze bean. I kept them in veg for 5 - 7 weeks and LSTed crap out of them. But those are 8 week flowering strains. Now I'm doing 12/12 from seed with ~14 weeks flowering pure sativas. You can check Psi-grow in my sig. If you have like 36" excluding growing pot, I'd say you can go with vegging and some training And I'd say feed them with grow food + camg additives only. Don't bother getting bloom foods high in P

O.O growing anything haze in 30".. I'll def check out your grow. But why no bloom foods? Any idea what the feeding schedule would be? Gonna be using FFtrio.

Thanks for the reply. So are you saying 18/6 and go down before flipping to 12/12? Is it so they get as much light as possible and growth before the flip? Any advice on when to top the 12/12? Before pre flowers?
