Just blazing this morning watching the price of silver and gold fall. I didn't think prices would get this low. They might go lower.

I think more people should take advantage of the price drops. I collect junk silver older mintage coins from the United States.

Anyone else buy and or collect coins? $20 an oz for silver is a deal

My wife works at a gas station and keeps all the silver she comes across. Collected close to a grand worth so far.

When I worked in a store I did the same thing. I could hear the jingle in the cash drawer.
Yep, totally different sound when silver clinks together. That's how she first recognized coins as silver.

There's been a few times people have come in to buy cigs and paid with all silver quarters.

I'm sure they knew what they were doing but wanted the cigs more. Expensive cigarettes.

Some people a thieves and steal peoples coin collections. Older family members that are in retirement homes.

If they knew that 10 dollars worth of quarters was really worth 200 they would no doubt not do that.

The last silver quarter I found was laying in the road in front of my house.

There are still coins out there just far less than there was in the past.

about the only advise given to me that I followed when I was a young dumb ass, was to buy $10K worth of Krugerrands's in mid 1971. Without a doubt the best investment I ever made. I also collected a lot of world proof sets in the 70's and 80's which did not appreciate as much as the gold. I'm not sure I would speculate in bullion now.

Had the chance to invest in apple stock back in 2002.. But instead I wasted the funds on opening a failed internet cafe.. Anyone invent a time machine yet? /sigh

Then again, I took someone's advise (even though I was ready to purchase) and did not buy GOOG at initial. (double sigh...)

Back in 2008 I almost invested 2k in Ford but instead I bought Solar stocks that went bankrupt. $2.00 to $15.00

I would have turned over $15,000 if I did it.
