for now i got a restricted space to grow and with what i look at a 400 w hps would be the best for me in my situation
but after a grow or 2 il be able to get more space to use a 600 w hps
now the question ;) should i get a 600 w Digital Dimmable Ballast and put it at 75% power or gwet a 400 and a 600 when im ready to move in a bigger space?

ty for your time hope i wasnt unclear

if you get a digital balast i wouldn't recomend geting a cheap one. mag balasts are way less problematic. how small is your first space?

man honestly instead of running two different lights, you might as well start out with your 600watt light and work with a cheaper brand like plantmaxx or something. that way you dont have to buy a more expensive digital ballast that can go 600 or 400, and also rather than buying two seperate mag ballast. id go with a straight up 600watt mag ballast and go 600 hps, since im assuming this is either just a flowering area, or youre going the cheaper route and vegging with the hps bulb as well.

Personally, I'd go for an Adjust-a-Watt 600W dimmable ballast and a 600W HPS lamp.
One of my 600W magnetic ballasts failed (after 10+ years of use) so I decided to replace both of them with new digitals.
I did a fair amount of research and decided on the AWs as the best option.

They have settings for 250, 400, 600 and 630W and you can run a 600W HPS bulb on any of those settings to suit your needs. You can even change the wattage while it's running!

Having the flexibility of running from 250 to 630 with one bulb and ballast is really useful.
