Add an extra 720 CFM fan to exhaust the heat and add the same for intake. I have 2 1OOO HPS Lights in an 8x8x7 gorilla tent. I use no humidifier nor AC.. Bring intake air from a cold room.
This room has no intake, and I have 2 6" 400CFM fans on the hood's. Shouldn't it be enough?Add an extra 720 CFM fan to exhaust the heat and add the same for intake. I have 2 1OOO HPS Lights in an 8x8x7 gorilla tent. I use no humidifier nor AC.. Bring intake air from a cold room.
What this guy said. Increase your CFM output. Your hoods should be cool to touch and be able to touch the glass without burning. You need to pull that heat away faster from ya bulbs. Also look at your ducting, I find cheap ducting is shite, air leaks and smells.Add an extra 720 CFM fan to exhaust the heat and add the same for intake. Hmmm..I might have to. I put my hand under the glass and it's too hot. I just called these guys, I spoke to a technical rep, but I didn't get much help at all. The only thing he told me was it takes 4 hours minimum to reach the targeted temp. I just had it on for 3 hours, with lights off, and the temp so far is only at 70.5. I asked him, if my A/C shuts off, then turns back on 15 minutes later, will it have to rinse and repeat for 4 hours before cooling to my assigned temp on the A/C? He said, no, it should cool as cold as you left it last time, which doesn't make sense to me.What this guy said. Increase your CFM output. Edit:
I just made sure the air-conditioner is working properly, even though it states 64F, the wind blowing out is about 54F...Hrmm, could it be a problem with my CHHC-4 sensor?
I suggest mking a split AC with a wall mount AC. im on my Ipad and cant link the directions. google homemade split ACAny advice much appreciated
Ok, thanks for the help big guy.Minimize the bends in ur ducting as much as possible.. make sure your fans are on the exhaust side ! inline fans are much better at pulling air then pushing it.. Also crazzy thought .. some ducting is actually directional.. did u check that? and if ur ducting is traveling a long distance you may consider a booster fan.. or if u have the $$ larger inline fan
I see this all the time..I know exactly what you're talking about. However, would it be ok to just roll down the zippers at the top to the side a little? If you have a portable ac unit you'll need an intake with your room. Because the portables alot of the time only have a single hose for exhaust which causes negative pressure. In turn makes the machine work harder to pump out the air. An thus making it harder to cool down. I realized this early and went with a window unit and stuck it in the wall of my room and caulked it closed. The portables are good as long as its a dual or triple hose unit. You'll be able to see what I'm talkin about if your running a tent because your walls be sucked inward.
