Yes they will get bigger and yes you should transplant them.
Next time do it about a week before you go into flower.

after week 4-5 in flower they stop growing roots.
don't shock the plant, if you can cut open the pot it's in all ready.

Hell yeah that's my thoughts exactly... The plant has to repair or recover if shocked this is valuable time to produce and could push back your harvest. If" you must repot from soil soak the soil first so the ball comes out intact. Also remember to soak the soil your placing the plant into when transplanting so the transition is smooth. go right to a 3 or 5 gal if you have the space. Once it starts to bud your root base is done massing and you wont have to worry about that aspect anymore.

yes i would just go ahead and put them in a large 5 gallon pot, if you just put it in a slightly larger container then you will have to do this again, and to someone new its scary, although quite easy! when transplanting make sure your soil is moist so your roots don't rip, that's really the most important part, I place the plant in between my middle and index finger make sure you flip it with enough room, (yours is young so it should be simple) (read up on transplanting), but basically no root room= no plant growth, GOOD LUCK, and one love!
