6x6x6 GROW ROOM, 2-600watt, How can i get the most out of it???

HEY EVERYONE, Im a new grower (just started up from seed) My room is 6x6x6 with 2- 600 mh/hps I use bout 4 1/2ft wide x 6ft length of the room... Oh im growing in Foxfarm O.F. / extra Perlite and im growing Liberty haze and white ruski (also known white Russian) M question is, what should I do to get the most out of my space (harvest wise) SoG?, SCROG?, Topping the plants? Any of your input would be greatly appreciated!!!!! as of now (like I said started from seed) I have 9 white ruski Fems going 2weeks old that I plan on cloning and making a bunch to fill the room, also I have 1 FEM liberty Haze (only 1 seed cracked when I sprouted them!!) THat ive been cloning already and getting ready to fill the room with also... here is a pic of the liberty haze I am just getting ready to fill the room (when a few autos finish I have in there now) But I would love to get everyones input on what I should do to get the most out of my space... Pot size? Style of growing? Etc.... I am using full line up of Fox Farm Nutes... I have 2- 600watt lights (electricity is an issue so I only have the 2-600s) But I am going to add a bunch of CFL fixtures half way up the walls going around the room ( to hit the middle of the plants and get extra lumens) I Wanna get the most BUD I can in my room.. HOW CAN I DO IT?? Anyone that has tryied SOG, SCROG, etc... and found the best way let me know PLEASE!!! if u have the time !!! Let me know what you think!!! Thanks!!!

there is no simple answer. for a new grower like yourself, the best thing you can do now is experiment and figure out what works best for YOU. just don't expect to hit a home run first time around. and of course, do lots of research in your spare time...

ALL I DO IS RESEARCH!!! on my spare time of course!! im a perfectionist try to do it right first time!!! but I get what your sayin by experimenting... I just wanted to know what someone has done already? SoG, SCROG, LSD, TOPPING, etc... and what their best results were??? that way I can save time by not having to do the things that don't produce as much... Surely someone outthere has grown in a similar size room like mine with 2-600watt lights??? and tried all the proven grow techniques?? and already know what produces the most??? Get what im sayin??? anyway thanks for your input!! and if u have any more advice it would be greatly appreciated!!!!

well the limiting factor is going to be light not space. theres tons of different ways to grow you just need to find something that works for you. oh, and you need to learn how to grow. theres no real shortcut other than doing as much reserch as possible and just getting practice keeping your plants healthy. if your wanting to max yield, the first thing would be to set up a seperate veg/clone area, that will save alot of time. if you havn't already i would get some sticky traps, neem (it's a repelant),a pocket microscope (or a loup) and a filter on your intake (for bugs, mold spores...). also i would get some form of bti in your medium- mosquito dunks, ewc, whatever- so you don't have to deal with fungus gnats.i would think a sog attempt would be a disaster for a new grower, scrog with tons of plants prob not great. try the ub topping tecnique.https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/151706-uncle-bens-topping-technique-get.html

I've been growing inside using two identicaly set up (except one for veg and the other for flower) 4x4x6 tents for 5 years. Each tent has one 600w, in and out exhaust, and 10 2.5 gal bean containers. I just make sure that I keep the sun about 18" above. Life is good here. Rock on...

Hey thanks for the reply!!!! So what do you harvest in your one tent grams wise?? You said that it is 1-600watt light? So whatever you harvest u think I should double the number (about) because I have 2-600watt lights, and im adding 4- 300watt CFL's for the walls of the room... Whats the weight every harvest??? And what style do u grow with? do u just let them go?? THANKS man!!

Hey!!! thanks for the reply!!! I AM A NEWBEE but I am practicing on growing and I can keep my plants healthy (so far)... I already have 2 grow areas the one I described and another closet for VEG/Clone WHAT DO U MEAN STICKY TRAPS?? AND NEEM???? WHAT DO I NEED THEM FOR??? I HAVE SCREENS COVERING MY INTAKE (for bugs) WHAT KIND OF FILTER FOR MY INTAKE??? FOR MOLD? AND WHAT IS A BTi?? Like I said I am new to all this and all your help is greatly appreciated!!

On the average, I get about 16 oz per tent. Look at my profile picture and you will see what the nodes look like after harvest. Sounds to me that you are over doing it with your lights. Your tent is bigger than mine, but it sounds like you use part of youe tent for a staging area to store items, preparing nutes, etc. If I am correct, you should only need one 600w. I visit my girls every single day, sometimes just to rotate, switch container locations, raise or shift the light, etc. Hope this helps...

the neem is a repelant i wouldn't use it at the end of the grow bc it will make your buds smell funny, but the rest of the time it's a good thing.
sticky cards yellow and blue- makes it easy to see when you get bugs. also kills some.

bti is bacillus thurgensis i- it's a bacteria that kills fungus gnats and a few other pests. it's cheap and easy to use can find in mosquito dunks, ewc, several pesticides. mosquito dunks are the easiest i thnk.
preventing bugs is alot better than killing them. hepa is prob overkill
i recomended ub's topping method bc its easy and works well.
sog is very high plant count + hydro so alot can go wrong
scrog is great, but it's easy to get a little too dense and get mold issues imo.
it's better to take things easy the first couple grows and get a decent harvest imo, than to get in over your head and loose the whole grow to rr, pm, bugs...

I JUST CHECKED the Pic!! NICE!!!! do u really think that my 2 lights are overkill??? im not using a tent, its a small room that was once used for storage and I converted it... and you are right that I am using some of the room for a staging area... But once my autos are done that I am growing right now, by then I will have enough clones to put in the room and fill it up.. I will be using almost the whole room then... I will just move my lights to the center of the room, and the only thing that will be in there will be the portable A/C (sits on the floor) and I will get 2 ocilating fans that I can hang on the wall ( the one I have now has a stand) So do u really think the lights are overkill??? I was always told that 600s are perfect for a 4x4 foot area?? And that you cant really have to much light... so I figured one 600 for 3x3ft area and the second for the other 3x3ft area... That's why I am trying to find out th best possible way to get the most out of my room harvest time... I was hoping that someone has tried SOG, or JUst topping and figured out the best results with a set up that's close to mine... WHAT STYLE DO U GROW WITH?? just let the plants grow???

THanx for the advice about the bugs... I will def. look into getting those things..... so u recommend the topping tec?? Also u said SOG is hydro??? From my understanding and research you can also SOG in soil with pots..... have u ever done it??

WOW THAT BUD LOOKS FUCKING NICE!!!! You got those seeds from Jamaica??? How did u get them?? from some bud that u bought down there, was it inside the bud??? They look fucking nice!!! You should breed one to get more seeds of it!!! Is it a full Sativa?? or looks like a Hybrid?? I would love to get a few of those beans if they were sativas.... YEah anyways, my room is 6x6x6 and when my AUTOs are finished then my clones will be ready to fill up the room, then I will move my lights over and use the full 6x6ft area (with the exception of my a/c that's on the floor) How many plants you think I can grow in there with my 2 lights???? What would you do??

My wife and I go to Jamaica several times a year and we've been doing it for about 7 years now. We have made a few C@@L local friends there. The Hash is also awsome, but I'm pushing it enough already throwing beans into the bottom of my suitcase. My bag is always checked, but after a week or more there, all of my cloths smell like skunk (lmao). These beans came from a special private mother plant of a real professional grower. I did the Bob Marly tour a few years ago and saw the entire process in real time. Everything from santized germination to the drying "barns"...whew! But this guy makes them look like ametuers. Looking at the 5 girls in the tent (I call the Jamaica stuff "Airee")...makes me want to take some of her fucking cloths off (lol). These girls are 70% Sativa and 30% Indica. Should I at least loosen a few of her buttons? On the number of plants, as an example, I will put 12 plants (2.5 gal each) into one of my 4x4x7 tents with 1 600w. With your 6x6x6, you will be forced to leave yourself a walk space, or you will be sorry later. I'd say you could easily put 18 plants and still be able to navigate in flower week 3+. I just got my replacement ballast for my other tent, so I'm putting several bean strains into it that are in wet paper right now. If you are growing all auto's, you can probably fit several more plants, as auto's are always smaller at harvest. Here's a couple pic's of a Kandahar last year tent grown. WORD

WOW YOUR PLANTS LOOK NICE!!! HOW MANY YOU GROWING under the 1- 600watter?? Did you top them? what do u think you will get weight wise?? I will take some pics when I get home.. I only have 1 liberty haze that I am using for a mother... I just made a clone machine (for some reason ive been having trouble making clones with jus root gel and a dome) the leaves look all discolored and wilting... So I made a clone machine I was told they work great and root very fast!!! So my plants are WHite Ruski (marijuana-seeds.nl) and Liberty Haze from bonzaseeds.. But I wanna fill my room with the liberty haze as soon as I get these clones going.. DID u start seed? or clone? How long did u veg for? How many plants under that 6? and what u think weight wise u will get??? THANKS ill post pics when I get home

Here are my WHITE RUSKI's from Marijuana-seeds.nl They are 28days old This is my Liberty Haze (its my mother plant) I am trying some LST on her (that's y the branches are bent down like that) And here are my white widow AUTOs from bonza seeds they are 45days old had some probs in the beginning but now they are growing nicely!!!

Nice plants man! They look healthy. About your LST, i belive the point is to bend so you can have an even canopy of buds, just applying lst to bottom branches will make the top keep streteching and the bottom slow down growth while they recup therefore having the bottom buds you LST less light in the end as they wont catch up.

In the picture i have 6 plants, 3 in 30 liters, and the others in 20 liters.

I LST like a beast, FIM. and bend the fuck out of my plants, let me see if i can find some pics, i start by fimming or topping my clones at 5 nodes then i pull the whole trunk to the floor and go from there! I started with seed for my liberty, then cloned to have my last harvest, and this is my last run of liberty haze as my next candidates are sweet seeds double white and snow fruit. I harvested the snow fruit on sunday and will harvest the double white this weekend, those 2 i cloned off a buddys plant which i then cloned to have a full room full which have been vegging for a month and a half from clone.

Notice how I use paper clips to start pinning to the ground and try to move main stalk to one side to start curling it to the rim of the pot



Here we are a bit later on, notice how the plant has nearly no height but all the branches are tied to the rim of the pot using zip ties. If you look close there is a branch i super cropped because i had run out of zip ties and wanted to experiment to see how it worked.


Here is a good example of a plant I bent the stalk early in its life and kept training, as you can see i transplanetd to the right hand side so the plant would fill the pot and not have any empty space of the pot itself

Lastly this is the finished part of training and veg and ready for the flower room! here as you can see all zip ties are gone as i had to cut them to transplant and finish training so i used some paper clips to bend down the tallest branches while others the infrastructure has already been established there fore no need to keep holding them down as they are strong and sturdy and should not reposition themselves back up!



If you need help with your clones in your dome holler at me. I started cloning 8 months ago with 90% success on every run! with a dome! Using jiffys or rockwool, sticking with jiffys as i get quicker roots with them!



note, never place clones on cold surface like I did by placing them on teh counter top, i had cloned a male plant which i did now know it was male until sexed so those were going in the garbage (sucked) but had some nice roots thats for sure!!!!
