The most important thing is to either wrap those cups or get opaque ones. Once the light hits the root....well lets just say it's not good.

ha I built a similar room myself I don't know how tall yours is but mines 57" and I hang a 400w MH with diffuser and the res it lives 14" with 4 inches of play to keep things from burning. It works great from seed/clone to pre-flower but they need to be moved for flfowering the only problem I have is keeping the tempts down when under light.

But understand I'm really not a cultivator I only play one on TV

Yeah....don't use aluminum foil.....some people use safety blanket from walmart, or turn potato chip bags inside out. Do a search on here...people use a lot of things that are cheap and much better than aluminum foil.

~Paint the inside Flat white using a can of the Walmarts New Plastic paint
~Cover the cups with duct tape
~Get a Bag of FOX FARM Oceans Forest
~ Get the biggest CFL's You can find at wallmart (42 watt) get TWO
~Get Bigger pots
~Have the fan on top Exhausting air, not intake it.
~Place a Computer fan down low in the box for intake
~And yes get another box for the lid so it is double the height and scrog the plants when they get big

ok i duct tape the cups and tomorrow ill spray the inside of the box with white paint i can do that tomorrow i have the fan on top intaking air and i have an exauhst at the bottom for the air to exit.

another question whats a good humidity range, whats an ideal range?
i guess i could use the scrog method when im ready to put the other rubbermaid on top thats not a bad idea, what would the scrog method do for me?

Humidity:

70% for little clones trying to root
~40-50% for veggin plants
Less than 30% REQUIRED for budding plants.

Scrog enable you to massively veg plants, then implant a screen over top when they reach a certain height, let them veg a little while longer pushing all new growth under the screen. Then Flower this gives you a SCREEN of buds, with all other plant matter under the screen. so mainly the buds get all the light.

i like where u were goin with this one but yea dont use foil flat whites the best for reflecting and cfls are gona be ur best choice on that h.i.d. would melt that shit like jello on a waffle iron . . .but ide rather fork out the dough and get some wood cut at home depot buy some caulk and seal off 1/2 half the closet and let em grow like us taxes

would white krylon spray paint be ok instead of the foil flat whites? i have some lying around and id rather use something i have instead of going out and buying it.

dont waste your time painting and what not go to any modells,or sporting good store,or wallmart,,buy a security blanket. Its cheap mylar,,works fine,,u just have to careful not to tear it when putting it up,,,it sells for about 3 bucks,,and 1 blanket is all ul need for yr setup,,a lot easier then painting and what not

Security blankets are not Mylar and generally are see through to some extent, in addition they easily creat hotspots.

There is a PLASTIC Spray paint in Flat White sold at walmart for $3.96 you only need one can.

Didn't you listen to GanjaGoddess?!? She said put your INTAKE FAN down at THE BOTTOM, while your EXHAUST FAN is up at THE TOP. Get it? There is a reason for this! Its not like it's ok to have it the way you do. Cool air sinks, while hot air hises. so you are pulling in the cool air from near the floor of the room, and then the air exits out the top when it becomes hot. That is the whole reason for the intake and exhaust systems. To replace hot air with cool. If you do it the way you have it now, you will get hot air building up inside your container. Science teaches us that you will only vent OUT hot air once ALL the air in your grow box is hot, and until then you are just exhausting the coolest, and probably the freshest air abailable to your precious plants, right out the vent. You WILL kill your plants unless you fix that.

Also, pretty bad descision to pick a Columbian Sativa for such a small grow box, I mean, Sativas can grow HUGE! You sould have picked a Kush, or some other Indica dominant hybrid. Better yet a lowryder, you would get faster turnaround as well. But I guess that whole months worth of research you did probably told you all that, lol. I didnt grow anything till I had smoked AND researched for YEARS. And I'm a 3rd generation grower. you should have studied alot more than a month. If you could learn everythng there is to know about pot in a month, then people wouldn't be dedicating thier lives to it. sorry, I'm getting mean. I dont mean to be so offensive. I just have an anger management problem and this thread is exascerbating my problem. My bad...
