ZZ Topping...

I have topped a few plants and some of you have commented that it took balls or Wow or something along those lines. I just top because the dang plants like it and it WORKS. Take a look at the Firehouse Dark Knight OG Kush. I topped it on the night of the 27th and here it is this afternoon. That plant is one happy dang plant. LOOK AT THAT GROWTH! So if you feel hesitant around topping take a look at this...

27th.

30th. WOW.

I just had to chuckle at that title, ZZ Topping indeed! I may just start calling it that... plants look healthy, the strain obviously responds to topping well with no downtime. Impressive. Good luck with the rest of the grow.

I think I once commented on your topping not because it was unusual or anything it was just the AMOUNT taken. I'm sorry if it was offensive, I thought I was cool enough to toss a jab every now and then.... I didnt really mean anything by it. I top my plants so much you might say I do it TOO much lol... heres a current prime example. Much love dude I didnt mean anything by It if I was one of the offenders.

Then let me get ahold of one of those mfers.... I'll make one a 4ftx4ft wall of green and flood you with pics :P

Please know I took no offense at all. People just comment on it. It shook me a bit at first but seeing the way the plants react to it is very reassuring. :)

I even cackle as I do it and scream off with their heads... makes for a more dramatic topping session

Hell yeah man. I say, top once, top again, then tie a few tops down...makes for bushy plants. top/lst, always good for a nice yield.

I was surprised by how early you were doing the cut, barely a sprout and already getting surgery. The results speak for themselves, no reason to wait like I have been doing, until the plants have 5-6 nodes. My concern was stressing the plant to death, but it looks like as long as the plant is healthy it is safe to hack it, screaming, not sure about the screaming thing...

I sure hope they don't scream. I wouldn't do it if they did.

I've read it's best to top right above the second node when the plants are at five to six nodes. So far I've had great luck with it. :)

This is pretty impressive. Any chance you can explain the method a little more? Or link to the original thread?

I have so many clones right now, I have plenty to experiment with once they root. I actually have one that is the left over bottom half that looks allot like what you have. I threw it in some water just to see what would happen. Now I'm thinking I might just clone it too.
