lol my bf and i were just talking about this. it's a shame they're so damn marked up. and same can be said for the grocery store/produce. SO ANNOYING.You couldn't pay me to step into a hydro store much less buy any of the crap they sell. And......if it's "natural and organic", then it must be good. Arrrrggggggghhhhhhhh...... I'm getting so tired of reading that false, marketing hype on food labels and such! What a frickin' racket. "Natural & organic" = higher prices with no way to confirm quality. Certainly the value sucks.
yeah but idk anything about making my own soil, so it's nice to buy stuff that's pre-made, if i'm unfamiliar with the ingredients and their interactions or usefulness entirely. i wish i knew how to make my own soil! trying to learn atm actually. That "Super" soil, doesn't have anything in it that a good soil won't have. Maybe just in higher quantities. Some of that stuff won't even get used up completely, so that part of it is just a waste of time and money. Even if your soil is missing something, it's nothing that can't be remedied with a complete fertilizer, kelp liquid and an earthworm/compost tea feeding once in a while. At least that is my belief. Take it as you will.
