Despite Doer reiterating the arguable details of the encounter that have been argued into the ground in the BIG thread, none of it really matters. It's a waste of time because NOTHING, let me repeat that, NOTHING Zimmerman did before the PHYSICAL EXCHANGE was illegal. Nothing. That is a demonstrable fact as he wasn't charged for anything else. They are just window dressing for us to argue about and for the prosecution to castigate.
You can have ten eyewitnesses view the exact same crime and get ten different accounts. The fact that Z's story doesn't match every detail of Goode's is to be expected. Under that level of stress, it would be an outright miracle if they did match perfectly.
Despite incorrect assertions by several participants on this thread, Zim had EVERY right to leave his truck (cite the law that states otherwise or concede the point), maintain observation of Martin (cite the law that states otherwise or concede the point) , speak to him (cite the law that states otherwise or concede the point) and do all of this without being attacked. The reason, motivation, attitude and temperament that led him to do so is inconsequential as long as he didn't break the law by initiating the ACTUAL PHYSICAL CONTACT. If he did, then he needs to spend time in the pokey. However, I think the prosecution is going to have a hard time PROVING beyond all reasonable doubt that it went down exactly that way. Zim knows the truth, but I don't think he's gonna roll over on himself.
