E-Coli in the water!!!

City is recommending we boil the water to drink, wash dishes etc.
Of course it watering night for a lot of plants, cannabis and veggie.
Should i boil the water for my plants?

E. coli won't survive in soil. The local flora will make short work of it and convert it into plant nutrient. In hydro, a drop or five of bleach or peroxide (unless you're running bennies ... same protection as soil) will nail this thin-skinned bacterium. cn

Should not effect your plant at all. I highly doubt any population en mass will out compete in the soil. Sucks for you and fam though.

Guys E coli is EVERYWHERE. EVERYWHERE.

This is more or less the story the city is going with, the positive tests (some say one some say two) were from outside seal-cocks, and the test may have been contaminated by outside influences. The tests at the main distribution are clean so far. If i didn't have small kids, i wouldn't care probably, i drink filtered water anyhow.
The couple of precautions i am taking, i am not brewing any teas until the all clear, and i am not going to use my reservoir, hopefully keeping the bacteria out as much as possible. Probably a little over cautious, but it should only be a day or two for the all clear anyhow.
Thanks for the well wishes though, sucks not wanting to wash the dishes!
