What do you guys think will happen to the price of cannabis ( specificaly indoor grows) now that the electrisity bill is going up?

i dont think it will change. hell i actually managed to get a lower power bill this quarter for a change. shaved a full $200 of my bill. i have come to realise that power companies consider me a pretty good customer. fairly high bills for a domestic household and i always pay on time. so i rang around and got a few quotes from the power companies and found an offer that was much cheaper than what i was getting so i rang my power company to tell them i was leaving and they made a counter offer. i then took the counter offer back to the other company and they matched that plus offered me a bunch of kickbacks if i pay on time etc. pretty good really 200$ is no small amount to me especially since i dont sell any weed so i have to come up with that power money out of my own pocket every quarter. its still way cheaper than buying weed though.

Oh hey 2easy, I thought I might mention Scoria (aka lava rock) to you for possible use with aquaponics.
I recently bought some from bunnings (pieces roughly the size of standard clay balls) to replace perlite in my soil mix.
Anyhow it doesn't hold as much oxygen in it's pores as clay balls but it has trace elements in it which may be able to slowly release into your system. I was thinking maybe you could either use the lava rock in place of clayballs entirely or maybe just go half-half or what ever.
Food for thought maybe?

yeah the aquaponics is evolving in my mind already. i think i can improve on what i have now in a big way.
im thinking about losing the drip ring and having the water inlet about 3-4 inches up from the bottom of the grow bed. filling that 3-4 inches with clay balls or perhaps the lava rock may even be a better option. the water will run through that layer and that will be the bio filter. above that will be an organic soil wicking bed for the plants to grow in. its an evolution and im fairly certain that it will be the way to go.

Perhaps the myth you're busting is that aquaponics don't create a strong enough nutrient mix to grow cannabis? I'm assuming there would be a fish/water/plant ratio to get it running right?
