Hey bro's

Just wondering if anyone would put these into flower. They are at the end of 3rd week of veg 4th starts at midnight. I know weeks is a pointless way of judging this so please find attached some pics. Though the tallest is 7.5 inches they all have 6 nodes at present and im going to have to clip the bottom leaves as they are going into the other pots territory.

You need to wait until the preflowers have formed and they have shown their sex. They're not mature enough to flower until then. :)

Why would you veg them out some more grorite? Do they look small to you? I was gonna veg for another week. Allthumbs I cant see any preflowers yet. Thanks bro's

Flower When ever you want. Veg time depends on how big you want them to finish and pot size. Longer veg larger yield. I do 7 gals and I veg for 2 months.

Yes you can flower anytime but all of those are so small, did you grow from seed? That would make sense that they are only that big at 4 weeks.

I would recommend to top them a time or two, or else your going to have a SOG of single colas.

They look healthy but transport them into their final home and give them some more air/food they should grow a bit faster before flowering.

Keep in mind plants double to triple in size for flowering so make sure your vertical space matches your flowering time.

yea there small especially for a 1000. veg them another week or two with no training if doing a sog. also do you know the strain? some strains will stretch more than others when put into flower so your gonna want to put that into consideration.

They are white widow. I thought they was doing alright. But this is my first grow so obviously im not the virtuoso I thought ;-) BJ's these are my final pots. I topped 3 originally and they got way more new growth so I topped another 3 before I read your post grorite. I havent fed a whole lot since everyones like dont over feed and theyre not showing any signs of deficiency. Temps have been high last few days but they are definately growing

your good to top that's fine you just don't want them bushing out to much because you may get cramped with that many plants

The only things that matter are 1) the amount of light available 2) the size of the grow area 3) how long you can wait. The longer you leave them in VEG the more bud you will get from them at the end, unless of course they reach either of the other 2 limits. The goal is to veg them until they are roughly 1/3 of the size of your grow area, then flip them to 12/12.

Think im gonna move the lights closer. Plus 4 weeks veg in soil for the first grow. What did I expect. Thanks for all the input bro's

AYE! How close? That's another possible mistake. Its best to let your plants grow into their space.

Light intensity works like this from the bulb down:

100% lumen - 1st foot

1/4 lumen - 2nd foot

1/9 lumen - 3rd foot

1/16 lumen 4th foot.

I don't put my lights lower than 4 foot from the base. I use T5; If your using HPS/MH you REALLY need to consider the heat from being closer too.

I save the first foot for my budz during flowering.

Wait. Ive got my light at most 2ft. No signs of burn but my tallest plant is only 7 inches. I been reluctant too move the light away. The growing energy seems to be going lateral rather than vertical. Dang ok I wont move them any closer infact I haven't moved them farther in a couple weeks. Prob should do that. Thanks.
