Outdoors with supplemental to induce flowering

Sorry to bring this up in this manner, but search isn't working.

Someone has an outdoor grow with I think far red/IR supplementation to initiate flowering outdoors. Anyone know where that thread is?

I have outdoor plants and it's a really short growing season here, looking for references to do this. It's time to push these plants so they don't freeze before maturity.

Thanks

i am under the impression that flowering in plants is caused by the amount of sunlight they receive. under 14 hours of light and they are subject to flowering. the far red/ir is for growing and hitting the correct light spectrums which will give it the best light for photosynthisis(flowering/fruit production) while blue light is for the growth stage. UV light can be added for increased trichome production because trichs are what absorb the uv lights protecting the plants.
hope it helps, -L

That is indeed a general premise. However, read around. There is a lot of info regarding specific wavelengths helping to induce flowering, while allowing more hours/day of light to increase yields, rather than blacking them out 12 hrs/day.

Someone is doing this outdoors. I can't find that thread.
