I just wanted to see what you guys think on this question:
Two 600w or One 1000w on a light mover ???

I have a 1000w Dual Arc right now, but im going to put 9 plant in and multiflow ebb gro so I have been pondering this a bit. 9 plants is a lot for ONE 1000w to cover staying in one place.

Two 600's do appeal to me tho as I have seen SO MANY ppl on here using them with AWESOME success. Only reason I went with the 1000w was because i was brand new and thought "might as well get the biggest most intense light"

What your thoughts??

I would use two individual lamps over one on a light mover. If you have one 1000w, why no get another instead of 2 600's?

Hey for those that have used both or just may know the difference, how much hotter is one that the other.. not literally but is the 1000w gonna be hotter than the two 600's? cuz one thing i do know is that 1000w is a hot motha (got it air cooled but still)

Two thouies will out produce two 6s but the draw is about 2250 watts while two sixes is just over 1400 watts of draw. Btw nine plants two feet tall will fit under a 1k pretty easy. If your not using a hood with a large spread or running multiple lights 1000s need to be fine tuned as there can be a small window between way too much light and having the lamp way top high. Ive always run 1ks but picked up a 6er for supplemental today.

what have you found is the best distance away? I have a Dual Arc and a Super HPS.(only use one at a time) The Dual Arc has a 600wHPS and 400wMH combined. U ever used?

600W provides more watts per amp than ANY other model.
It is THE MOST efficient.
2x600W will always beat 1x1000W

(make sure you get one with a hood.... they go a LONG way to help cooling, if used correctly)

in form of Lumens to watt a 600W will out preform any other

if it was me, and I also liked to save on power, I would consider 2x400W on a light mover with cool tubes, you can keep them pretty close, maybe do a scrog

distances all depend, if you have a nice cool hood or a cool tube with a good ventilation on it you can keep it about half the distance, and the glass only "eat up" 10% of the light

I keeped my 600W at 20" with out and 12" with a hood on

here is a few charts:
