24"x27"x49" CFL heat problems

As the title states.. with the door closed it reaches up to around 83-85* if the house is at a decent temp, even hotter if the ac is off during the middle of the day.. it gets to 100* easy everyday where I live and the back wall of the closet is connected to the garage wall(the oven of the house)... Anyways I open the door and leave it open for a while just to bring the temps down a bit, they stay around 73*-76* with the door open. I know 83*-85* isn't horrible but im really wanting to stay under 80*.. for intake I have a 80cfm inline booster fan(4"), and exhaust is a 250cfm booster fan (6") and for ventilation a 6" clip on fan. Room is 18.375 cubic feet. These temps are for 2 100w CFLs on.. after my seedlings get to about a week I plan to have all 4 on. At about a month ill put my 250w hydrofarm ballast and reflector CFL in, including smaller CFL bulbs for side/low lighting. This room is for a mother BTW. What are some ideas that you guys n gals have done to reduce heat in small closets?

I don't have any ducting in. Just the 4" fan in the wall. I'll Post some pics when I get home though.

Get you some air moving. A couple 20" box fans for under 20 bucks a little over 2000cfm. They work wonders

or make a new door for the closet that has an intake hole. make the exhaust in the room as high as possible and the intake as low as possible.
also wanted to add if u take a piece of wood and run it along the fixture, and take a 6" or so new ducting pipe (shiny) you can cut it in half the long way into two wings, screw them and the fixture onto the board to reflect the light down. this makes the lights more effective and if wanted it helps channel the air through the bulbs and away to desired exhaust

I think you should stick with what you have and just pump in more co2, plants can be at higher temps with more co2. But for cooling the closet id say get bigger booster fans. And you shouldn't use a clear cup roots don't like light.

yeah I know that's all I had at the time the cup i was gonna used got destroyed.. im transplanting tomorrow, with new soil too.. this cheap dirt soil has a lot of sand in it..

yeah i was thinking about making something similar. this set up was to just jump start my seedlings. I'm still perfecting the room. thanks for the idea!

if the crack under the door is big enough alls you have to do is get a better fan for your exhaust haha. id figure out some sort of way to isolate the vertical partyour grow so there isnt so much room up above for heat to get trapped (bubble wrap insulation at safe distance away from lights)
also reflect EVERYTHING

Booster fans are weak. I would run inline fan duct out. Cool air comes in at bottom hot are pulled out from top. Get another clip on fan too.

yeah my placement of the fan is pretty much for when the plant gets bigger and i have to raise the lights.
