Hey! I RESEMBLE THAT! Actually, there is a DIFFERENCE between Wacko and DELUSIONAL! I prefer Delusional because MY thoughts ARE organized, just not accepted by the Mainstream!

Im having some issues with my waterfarms .
Jack Herer #1 root into the rockwool cube was exposed. She was very weak and I had to propt her up to stand up . I did that with a couple twisty ties. Its like she's on training wheels or something. But shes growing a lot and cant support her self.. so I dug out the rockwool to see her root.. it kind curls down into the cube, but looks really healthy.. so I very carefully.. with tweezers... picked out the rockwool to exposed her root...I gently pushed her exposed root into the cube and then squeezed the rockwool back round her exposed root and piled a bunch of pebbles on top. I also turned off the drip ring because I think im overwatering, which could be causing this problem.
Jack Herer #2 is a lot smaller , her stem is stonger but shes not growing very much and is significantly smaller then JH #1
...Always something new to learn. this is week #2.

Yeah way too wet!

Looks like too much red spectrum causing the stretch. More blue

If you have small net pots, cut one long side and part of the bottom, spread it apart and pace it carefully around your plant, bury the rock wool ~ 1-2" deep into the hydroton

I need to get my dual diaphragm air pump on a timer. being out of commission for 6 months has made me sloppy. and my new drip ring, which the JH #2 is on, might be spitting better then the older one im still using on JH#1. I think Im going to wash more hyroton pebbles and do some more work, I have some room between the drip ring and the hydroton that I can fill up and it will bury the rockwool pretty good
. Im using my MH bulb on 360 watts only, so red spectrum is not causing the stretch. My waterfarm babys always look stretchy like this in the first two weeks, so that is no surprise. They ususally start to EXPLODE with new growth week 3 and 4.
Im thinking about doing some other adjustments....
If I get a bat reflector for my MH instead of my air cooled Xtra sun light hood then I can just run cool air through the entire tent instead of adding an additional fan.
Then I mght get those 2 ft leds we talked about and place them around the bat reflector.
Im also going to get another TD 100X Silent fan. Im really impressed with my new one. Its powerful and just humms real quietly.

Im trying to be an energy efficient as possible this grow and eliminate as many fans as possible but still try to keep the inside of the tent with a real nice air exchange and cool, no hotter then 85 degrees. The humidity these days is so awesome!!!
 
If it's not your light it could be your nutes. My seedlings used to stretch like that with DM Gold. Since switching to Hydro-Research V+B seedlings grow normally
 
i traded in my SEcret Jardin DR 120 tent and 2 6 inch inline for this totally awesome Sun system Adjust a Wings medium light reflector!!!They are such a cool company and there product is so amazing even Jorge Cervantes does a commercial for them. And what an awesome commercial, he looks completely INSANE!! lol.. and to follow that is a video on how to put the reflector together. Its so easy.. no nuts and bolts... here are the videos in the link. Im just as excited and Jorge about this amazing product!

Good Morning Doc.My Internet has Been Down For A Couple Of Days And Im Getting Caught Up.I Noticed Your Having the Same Issues With Your Seedlings As I Have Had.I Dont Know What Causes The Root To Do This But I Dont Belive Its Caused By Over Watering.My Guess Is That The Rockwool Or Rapid Rooters Is Causing This Issues.Ive Had Plants Do This With Both.I Belive the RW Or RR Wasnt Mfg Properly Not Allowing the Roots To Fully Penetrate The Cube.I Did The Same And Proped Them Up And My Ladies Were Fine.Now You Know That Scotty Says To Leave The Air Pump on 24/7.The More Oxygen In Our Res The Better The Root Growth.The Only Way To OverWater In A WaterFarm Is To Get Root Bound In The Upper Res Causing A Stagnit Pond Effect On Top Of The Hydroton.I Had This Happen With MaryAnn(Gigabud).Anyway Hope This Helps Ya Out.Peace And Opposum Grease :weed:

HI PIMPY! yes that information does help me out. thanks for tuning in... I appreciate your time! What a disappointment with the rockwools. They have always worked so well for me in the past... THey prob added some cheaper filler... The stem on JH #1 remains weak. My drip wring was not really sitting on the pebbles so it allowed me to dump more pebbles on top of them to build up the surface and bury the rockwool cube down and assist with the stem support. JH #2 remains stunted in growth. Looking deeper into her rockwool cube I see a root curl as well. I will just wait this problem out and hope for the best. Peace and Hair Grease...

Although, according to Luscher, purple is for those to whom fantasy plays a big part in their life.. I think he cited some isolated tribes in South America, and of course, the Iranians.. You simply extrapolated from insufficient data.. Read more and you'll have better luck..

Look at all the other Avatars. For the most part, everyone posting in your thread has had theirs for at least a year, whereas within this thread you have changed yours, twice, (looked like 2 different views of the same female), plus the 'green picture' that you inserted did, too. I noticed it. Just sayin

Did you not consider that someone might notice, and comment? Flirting with the boys? That would be fun. What threw me off was 1-2 of your replies to me, were written more like many of the young men who post on RIU.

I believe if you read some of my posts to others (or any of the guys who have replied to your thread), you will only see me/them/us being helpful. It's not gender oriented. OK?
