How to control BUGS during Flower?

Ok just went and checked on all my ladies and all are showing signs of pre flowers. My question is how do I control bugs after about 3 week of flower? I've been using neem oil and Azamax as a foliar spray switching it up every week for veg but I don't want to use this after the next 3 weeks because I don't want to effect my buds or slow down harvest time. So what can I buy to use? I saw Mighty wash but it cost to much. My babies already use a little over a Half gallon a week of azamax or neem oil solution. Also is there a net or something I can buy to keep Lady bugs at my grow? I would like to use those as I heard they get the job done and the best.

What kind of bugs are you having problems with? Diatomaceous(spelling ?) earth works well, but is very visible from the air.

I don't know about ladybugs eating spidermites. Spidermites are very small. I know ladybugs are great for aphids. I'm surprised you're still having trouble with spidermites after using neem and azamax. Did you apply it according to the schedule to get rid of them or did you just do weekly applications? One way gets rid of them, the other just kills them off once a week or so but doesn't kill them at all stages of growth, thus eliminating your problem.

Go with the predator mites. For them to work, you should use a soap spray (stop using neem and azamax before releasing them or you'll be killing off your predator mites too. They eat spider mites, but not plants. Give that a try and keep us posted.

Did you use azamax as a drench or just a spray? I'd think spray would work for spidermites, but I know for a fact that drench works for other pests like thrips.

do what all of us do spray the fuck out of the bug spray... check out( mighty wash ), heard very good things about it ! I think that's the name, and don't be stingy , rather risk mold spraying the buds then let those fuckers eat and get high,

You lost me here. But I use soap with the neem and Azamax. I just found out that I can use both Azamax and neem together for 2-3 sprayings and that will eliminate them off for a good while.

Predator Mites are mites that eat spider mites. By the fourth week into flower, I'd say that if Neem and Aza hasn't worked yet that the remaining mites have probably developed an immunity to it. You gotta knock em dead or they get stronger.

Here's a link for predator mites. I think you need a ratio of like one predator mite for ten spider mites, so if you've got a big problem, order a bit more than you think you might need and go all out biological warfare.

Ok cool I will purchase some. Predator mites sound like something I want to use on the 4-5 week of flower. Are they safe to use during flower?

Ok cool thanks. Yea the last 3 weeks before harvest I will be using predator mites and lady bugs. Sound like the safest way to go for my buds.

spider mite problems outdoors?? Thats a new one to me.... Guess its just too humid up here for them to cause any issues for me.

Has anyone had any problems with tiny green caterpillars? I thought I had an infestation of budrot and sprayed a heavy fungicide on my plants in order to stop it. The rotting buds kept spreading so I harvested early. Once I started trimming I noticed dozens of caterpillars on some of my buds. Mostly the main colas. They were eating the buds and killing them off.

As for insect control, I'm a big fan of malathion. I use it during veg and on into flower except for the last couple of weeks. Wettable sulphur also seems to work well. I think you are better off with chemicals than predators. I mean... they seem to have a mind of their own most of the time.

Awesome thread guys... I've been fighting slugs all season and spraying Neem but something is still chomping on the fan leaves and I noticed black crap on the new growth yesterday so drenched it in Neem. Just ordered some Aramax from Amazon for $20... will give it a whirl. I hate these fucking bugs!

to control slugs.... I dig small holes to fit a 6oz mason jar all around my plots, fill with stale beer (the darker the beer, the better it works) come back a couple days later, no more damage to plants, but jars full of slugs

1 can of budlight can also help to neutralize ph too, not that I condone buying or drinking bud light
