I think Mz Jill and Sub gave the best advertisement for Homewood suites on the nerd. Last night I got up was gonna book my room for hempfest. I didn't have my Hilton Honors card so I waited until this morning. Big mistake should have booked it last night and sorted the rest out later. This morning all the rooms at both places downtown are booked. The other hotels are filling fast so anyone thinking about going and getting a room better get on it. I ended up booking at a less than desirable place because the only rooms left are crazy spendy 500 a night. There are some cheaper rooms but there all 2 star places. Oh well though I don't mind shitty rooms. When you have spent any extended time in Jail even the king shit of rooms seems like a Marriott.

Question for you nerds.
Soon i will be getting a 5x5 tent with a 600w.
say I wanted to grow 25 seeds in 1 gal containers to do a keeper selection (planning on weeding it down to 6 females), how long should i veg? And should I top them? Or just let them go untopped?
Using happy frog as my base, and once I weed it down to 6 ladies i will be using ss.
but what should I use for nutes while I'm doing my 1 gal pheno selection? Just top dress w ss? Or should I get a small bottle of liquid nutes to use?

Up to you what to use 
Different people use different things... i don't think you can get away with topdressing SS alone if there's no other nutes it wouldn't be enough unless you left room to do topdressings every week or two... i would just run SS from the start if that's your end plan.
600's going to be stretching in a 5x5 space... you will have to raise the light substantially to get 5'x5' coverage which means you're not going to get the intensity you'd get from a smaller space. Also 5x5 for a 600w is 24w/ft2, which is less than half the ideal wattage per square foot. You're yields/bud size are not going to be as much as if you get it up to 50w/ft2 and keep the light down close to the canopy. You're gonna have to keep it at least a foot or two over them to get it to cover 5x5. I'm stretching it on mine covering 4'x4' and that's with a big ass hood designed for that kind of coverage. Just an fyi -- that's your biggest problem at the moment, not the soil/nutes, which is just whatever your preference is that light is definitely fine for veg, just not optimal for that space and flower. But you don't have to go optimal either... i'm sure you'll get fine results depending on what your goals are... if you just want to grow some dank for yourself you should be fine. If you want to get max yields you've got an issue to address.

i haven't purchased the 600 yet, and it is only 140$ more for the 1000, so nothing's set in stone.
I originally was planning on getting a 1000w but I was concerned about it being too much for my electrical. (Blowing fuses)
also I was concerned the 6 inch vortex i have picked out would be in inadequate to cool a 1000.
but also I could upgrade to the 8 in if you think it would be best.
Im not buying anything till at least Saturday because i wanted to price out everything at the grow stores that are less than 60 min from me, otherwise I will be ordering online. Not a lot of options where I'm at.
All just head stash, but obviously I want to be as efficient as possible.

Like I said it's all about your goals... the 600'll work, but not what you want if you're concerned on max yields. If it's just head stash you're probably fine (ie can produce more than you can consume) with the 600

Just asked you about this on my thread. Running a 600 in a 4x4 tent and was wondering about it. Don't think it's all that the moment.
I have 8 plants up under it, and they're all growing vertically a lot quicker than I'd like. I thought I would be right on time tho, given the fact that 600w is supposed to be good for a 4x4....I guess not bcuz I want to yield more than I consume haha. A couple ounces a month in my prime haha.
Gonna figure out a way to squeeze 400 more watts in there.

Yeah I'm going to start at thread soon I'm just finishing up my new permanent grow rooms and I get a decent camera whats a thread with shitty pics you know I also have Space Bomb, Chernobyl and Jilly Bean going right now I'm doing Space Bomb and Chernobyl outdoors and I only got 1 female of the jilly so I kept her inside so when I do do a thread it should be a good one. Thanks for your interest and I'll work on getting some pics going soon as possible

I'm used Jack Skellington pollen on my Qrazy Train. How long does it take for seeds to mature?? I pollinated around day 23 of flowering.

You may have pollenated a bit early, but it will take the entire flower period to mature the seeds. Have seen some done as early as 4 weeks but most I have done take 6 to 8 to get all of them fully mature (dark green to black with the tortes shell appearance). Just harvested my The Flav grow, had clones from each pheno that I dusted with a strong Flav male as well as a landrace Mexican. Will germ 5 seeds of each in a couple months and grow them out for a Dec. harvest.
