Hellooooo can anyone tell me the advantages to autoflowering strains as apposed to regular strains?

They automatically go into a flowering stage through the light cycle. (Varies from strain.) Grow WAY quicker, but less yield and potency opposed from the traditional grow.
Those are the biggest differences I think.

What he said kinda. Most AFs are supposed to start flowering on it's own, but I've read a lot of stories about how they had to switch it to 12/12 for a week. Not sure if it's an AF that just takes forever to flower, or bad genetics. They DO grow a bit quicker. I got a NL auto next to two free random seeds. The NL grew a lot faster and a lot prettier o.o haha. As for the yield and potency, if you judge just by pure thc and cbd content, prob it's lower. I have yet to knowingly smoke an auto, but I read that it's just as potent as say, critical+. Yield, I really think it depends on how you grow it out and what kinda seed you get. I've seen a lot of autos with single cola growing, and comes out to idk 15g~ dried. My NL, I lst'd it very early, and it's in a scrog now. There's about 11 solid tops right now. The yield diff between photo and autos are prob diff because you wouldn't really top or supercrop an auto. All in all, if you find some descent genetics, it should be a bit faster and not too bad of a yield. That is, if you give it some tlc.

I'm actually on my first grow, so I can't tell you from experience the end product or anything, but it's moving along nicely. On day 38-40 I believe? But from what I've read autos aren't bad. But I will tell you one thing... the electricity bill will be higher... So you could just veg for two weeks and throw it into flower if you want fast bud.

Lighter feeding requirements, less space / soil required, and faster turn around time. Ideal for closet grows or sea of green method. The major con is the size of the plants. They average about 2ft tall.

Biggest advantage to autos is that they finish while everyone else is still vegging. That means I can fill out the extra space in my veg room with autos. BigSteve.

first off the only advantage is you don't need a timer

you can flower seedlings before autos honestly if your looking for speed
