Cheers to Blimburn Seeds "Mango"....coming down day after tomorrow....little white cap on from LED burn but she's heavy and solid. She's the one that fell over this past weekend. Placed her in a 2x2 veg tent to keep her upright for the final 4 days. Talk about a bowl of fruit....em..em..good....so stealthy for those who need it. So short for those with height constraints. Can't wait to "toke a number".

Jela beautiful fat cola as usual. I couldnt imagine your haul if you put on a big show! I may have one cola in my tent that may come close to that one this time 
im harvesting next weekend at week 9 ...of course the girl with that cola i mentioned was a momma plant for a year...so i had that whole 12 month veg lol..cheating!...she does have 15 colas though...she wont rival your girls but ill be sure to post whole plant pic before i butcher her. Can move her atm as she is all trellised up.
Psilo damn nice 2nd grow. I mean it dude! Im on grow..oh i dont know 15 years + and i envy ya

The sand widow was kind of a trip though...20% amber then like 50 clear 30 milky
Oh and yaay 1st day back to work...my back hurts like a bitch...thats all part of healing though huh

Yes Shiva, funny thing, you, I and Psilo were on the 8week train together...looks like we all did some trimming early, didn't we. Yes, a big show for my grow style would mean a big-ass room.....hmm....maybe when I retire I'll have that kind of commitment. But part of my big-cola success comes from dropping the number of plants I do in the space I have. I'm looking at the 12/12 from seed thread where peeps are getting 0.5oz per plant running SOG....then I think wow, why would I grow 16 plants to get the 8oz I get from 2 plants? And my watering is a breeze...it would make you sick. Hope your back stays healthy...my lower sciatica comes back continually.Jela beautiful fat cola as usual. I'm planning on starting a hempy grow with my next cycle and I'd have some questions. The plan is to grow 6 plants in a perpetual setup in a 28"x32" space. I'm planning on mainlining to keep plants reasonably short and to keep a decently even canopy but I'm wondering what size pots to use. I'm worried 2 gallon buckets would outgrow the space with 6 plants. I plan to veg in 1qt containers. I know in soil I have no problem filling a 3 gal pot with roots if I transplant from the small container the day it goes into flower and that two plants get crowded in a 24"x24" space. I'm trying to find a nice balance between not too many plants and a nice variety of strains. I wish laws weren't written based on plant counts. I really want to do some breeding but the sentence for more than 50 plants here is fucking steep even if it's little plants only putting out a few grams to evaluate how they grow and get a little sample them. And keeping clones of all of the plants doubles the plant count.

2gal smart pots might outgrow with 6 plants, I use 2gals for 6 plants in a 4x4. You could do 6 2-headers and it could work, as long as the strain you run is single-cola dominant.

Good stuff. I was going to add something similar....I am
thinking that mainlining a plant will make for a very well
spaced-out and strong plant. One plant might fill that space
but I am sure that two will nicely. You might want to move
up to a larger pot and a smaller number.

The main reason for wanting to do six plants is for variety, I know I could easily fill that space with one or two plants. Because I veg in an 18gal storage tote going with more smaller plants makes sense for a perpetual grow in my space. 6 plants is no worse than one here. I think I'll try something around a gallon for container size. I think 8 tops in a roughly 1sq ft area is doable. I've run 9 plants/sq ft in a SOG before.

I've been lurking in the background watching all the great thing you guys have been doing. So I thought I'd share my SOG, I currently have going. The flower tent has three stages in it Some mid way through flower, some just hitting the peak of stretch and some just starting to flower, so in all I have 67 clones in there. The other tent has 30 clones vegging and 50 clones in the dome. 
My first trial SOG went pretty good 14 plants with 8.8 grams per plant.

Sky/Shaggin, my beans arrived today too...G13 "Bluberry Gum" & "Blue OG" along with more Blimburn Mango. The mango has been a delight to grow as a freebie from Attitude
Speaking of mango, here's one of the 7 major colas trimmed up today. I busted two myth's in one whack. Myth#1, "You can't grow big bud with LED's". Myth#2, "You can't get a good yield in a 2gal bucket, you need 3.5-5gal buckets".

Damn Jela....thats huge for a summer bud. Magnificent sir. I agree completely about yield in small containers. My big Blue dream I am fairly positive will be a 3 ouncer and its in a 1.5 gallon bucket. The buds are very dense aside from the foxtailing from the higher temps the last few weeks. I really think when using rockwool chunks and hydroton (or anything similar) you just have so much space for roots. The key is just making sure your roots fill the bucket. If you show me your rootballs ill show ya mine . I really envy your cola building ability. So much so in fact ive been teeter tottering between the idea of just doing 4-8 really big girls (using your less is more idea) and doing a run of about 100 seeds on 12/12 from the start..which of course would end up being about 50 ladies....or revegging these girls...I found myself here a few days from harvest with no fucking clones...I do have a skunk plant out back in my veggie garden that i could get 8 12in cuttings off of which would be a nice head start at that size....and i guess i could buy clones but i hate that...its like 15 bucks for cuttings...REALLY?

Shiva...hate to see you bring the "crabs" home from store bought clones. I know you've been down that road. My veg times typically run 30 days using seeds...with just 1 FIM job. One week of that 30 days is waiting for the FIMM to grow out into individual growth tips. You could skip the FIMM and just do 3 weeks veg if you have a bushy strain but you might end up with only one major cola per. You might get lucky and do the FIM and put straight into flower...I've never tried that. 12/12 FS sounds quickest since you are setup already for watering numerous plants. Yesterday I posted a pic of my root zone in my current journal.

Steelie, I smoked the scissor hash last night while making dinner (which can either be a disaster or an 86 waiting to happen). Much to my surprise, the Jack Herrer in this strain came shining through with an energetic, glassy smooth buzz that lasted for ≈2hrs. I roasted pork carnitas and diced numerous peppers and veggies for a taco dinner that rocked the pallet. I'm seriously hoping the cured bud retains this signature although I might gain a few pounds. Note the piss-water 55 calorie beer in the bud shot....
