I think the recommended time by some breeders are bullshit - at least with my current grow - Skunk #1 from Sensi Seeds. According to the Sensi website, flowering is 45 to 50 days. Well the pic below is on day #62 of 12/12 and I have at least 7 to 10 days to go - so hopefully somewhere around 70 days it will be done.

First of thanks everyone for the advice. I need to water tonight and am wondering if I should feed some nutes or just plain water? Or harvest them!? Basically all the leaves have turned yellow and are falling off. I'm tempted to harvest tonight but am concerned about the amount of people saying wait a week or whatever.
Still so inexperience and have no idea.

put some pics up if you are worried, I try to keep them green until harvest. A healthy plant is a happy plant.

So i decided to wait 2-3 more days, fed ph'd water tonight and will wait 2-3 days to chop.
They're roughly 80% cloudy and 20% clear, yet no amber yet.
Hopefully the calyxes swell up a bit more in this time and pistils recede a bit more.
Also hope i've made the right decision.. kinda concerned now.

Umm lots of people tryin to f u up.
Why? I can think of a few but ill keep to myself. Cut those you will thank us.
Your already too late imo. You want 70 percent clear 30 percent cloudy. Even 60 40. In that ball park. Highest youll ever b. Will destroy the commercial crap you buy at outragous prices.
Are we all in some sort of conspiracy to influence new growers into ruining their crops? LMAO
Your advice would ruin his crop and leave him looking for the aspirin to get rid of the pounding headache he now has from smoking immature marijuana.

You want your fan leaves to start yellowing away by the time you harvest. This means you have burned up most of the nitrogen = better tasting marijuana.

I highly recommend waiting longer for your plants. There is a common saying that applies to everyones first grow - "When you think it is done, wait another week."
Everyone harvest their first crop too early - mainly due to be so anxious and inexperienced.

I can't agree anymore, i know that when they turn from clear to cloudy is the peak THC levels etc.
Yes, its actually really hard to not cut them at the moment because I'm so anxious etc.
I thought they were ready couple days ago so i will wait 2-3 more days and check trichs and check the plant over again and make a decision for myself.
Everyone's opinion in here is different because we all like different types of highs and we all have different experience/ways of telling when a plant is finished.

Let me give you a exampke,

My friend is also a grower, hes running nl and sour secret. I told him to chop at 70 30 clear to cloudy, he yold me no thats too early. Cause he reaf some bullsgit on the internet. He wants to trust yhe internet over experiance? Go for it.

His smoke is ok. He yielded more, but no one wants the b grade. Couchlock trancelike. Buds may b smaller at the most potent, but u smoke so much less. And the leftovers will go easy.
Never grown more potent bud with 70% clear Trichomes...That's a new one!
I suggest harvesting when there is the most amount of CLOUDY/MILKY and least amber.

If you are like me and don't believe anything> You would have them lab tested @ different weeks.
+ I assure you there is less THC in clear trichomes.

I honestly could give a sh*t less if everyone on the planet continues to harvest early.

When I grew my first plant I cut it down with 60% clear Trichomes(many white pistil) + was disappointed with the smoke.

Next grow I let the same strain get fully cloudy Trichomes and I was completely satisfied with the same strain that had me disappointed 3 months earlier. It also didn't hurt that it yielded quite a bit more.

Can you post a picture of Subcools buds that have 70% clear Trichomes?

I'm curious to see how many white pistil are left on his plant because I've never grown a plant to completion with 70% clear Trichomes + fully swollen buds with red+receding pistils. I want pictures of this claim!

A quote from Subcool himself would also be sufficient...

No disrespect intended, like I said its all about everyone enjoying some quality herb. Some people dont have access to quality meds. Commercial shit might b worse for your health. Depends on your hook up. Id say very few people enjoy fully mature buds. Lot of peeps compare it to fruit. Although miss the fact that fruit is hatvested at the cust of ripeness, and allowed to ripen naturally aka curing. Food for though. Just spittin facts that seem to make sense. And seem to apply to our precious.

Just because they're not green doesnt mean they're not healthy. Nitrogen makes them green. Its important in veg for them to grow but not so much in the flowering stage.

but to the thread imo if they're swollen and cloudy u can cut if u want to wait longer thats fine too

Yeh, they're pretty cloudy now.. will start seeing amber very shortly i would say.
Not sure about the swollen, they've def got bigger but haven't seen any change in the last 3-4 days size wise or change in calyxes.
How big or how should they look when swollen or whatever?
