I have more male than female friends, i used to have lots in highschool and college and like i said ive kept a few, i think i have more male than female is not because i dont like females , or anything its because i cannot find a female with similar interests with me, so when i go out with my girlfriends, its harder to have a good time because when they speak about things that are important to them, i of course listen and respond because its important to me based on the fact that its important to my friend but sometimes its like i need abreak and need to like take a deep breath because their importance things in life are so goddamn fucking boring,. LOL i love shopping but not for pink girly dresses, i love movies but not the romantic comedies, or fucking the notebook i find the differences to be too much sometimes.

I love all my girlfriends! their all different unique and i love them but 90% of the time the shit they say doesnt peak my interest. so the whole "male only "thing as much as red flags can go off each person in life has a different personality it may be that she has more male dominated friends because her interests are more male dominated, or shes a cowgirl and shes interested in mudboggin and horses , for me, im more interested in sc-fi, anime, and video games, so my interests dont go too far with my girlfriends,

Yes I agree. It seems to me that women are far more competitive when trying to find a man. I have met women that will actually tell another woman's boyfriend about his girlfriend's past in order to discredit her. I don't know why a guys entertain this kind of behavior.

I have a couple of female friends like you. Not really tom boys but less interested in tyranical type behavior.

Red Flags. A woman who expresses to me that she is only friends with men tells me that she is manipulative. She surrounds herself with guys that want to be with her. He will tolerate her whinning and complaining in hopes of one day winning her affection. He will be the "safe" guy who she can call for advice, cry on his shoulder, hold her hair when she is puking after a night of drinking. The guy (simp) has a low self esteem and tolerates this treatment which is his own fault.

This is really apparent with "scene" gay men. The guys that are fruity. They are not accpeted by straight males so they try to fit in with women. These men are merely toys to a woman who would exploit them because they will endure anything to be a part of the female paradigm.

We have shitty bitch hormones. Putting two pissy women together is like trying to push the same side of two magnets together. Other than that, it's usually a security or self esteem issue I think, feeling inferior to another female. I have no problem with girls who have the same interests as me and I love hanging out with my girl friends. The ongoing theme with girls that will only be friends with men is the attention they get from em it seems (and maybe an ego boost?). Guys gossip for sure. It usually isn't the main focus of a male relationship though. Guys will generally call eachother on their bullshit, talk about it then go have lunch. These are just experiences that I have had to deal with at some point in my life. The meme still exists though. When I asked the original question I got the most common answer by both men and women on this thread. I was doing some reading on the subject and started to contemplate after about three bowls worth of the magical meditation herb..LOL

I observe how boys and girls are treated at my daughter's school and it is quite drastic. I just wanted to see other people's ideas on the issue. I was looking at divorce rates and why they skyrocketed starting in the late 60's and if modern feminism is helping or hindering a woman's progress.

I think it's the same ball game because to understand the action it's important to understand the mental attitude of both sexes. I believe it is a problem that can be solved if a person took the time to understand the issues.

One cultural bias that I have seen is how laws can be passed to protect women against domestic violence but not men. It almost seems like everything is coming full circle. Women can now act as men did in the past before the women's movement. I am all for equal rights but I think women now are being shown that it is ok to kill a man because you can claim that you were abused. I think this is a dangerous direction to go.

Strange thing is that men will kill another man or himself while a woman will kill a man or her own children. This one perplexes me and I can't figure it out.

Indeed, I believe the media definitely plays a big role in how society feels like they should act and portray themselves, and women generally are shown as bitchy or snooty and with a 'perfect' body, whether it be fake or not. I feel like some guys deserve a fake stiff boobed woman though, because in the same way guys can be superficial too. I feel stupid now, but I was with a guy once that treated me like shit due to the fact I wasn't the fake made-up girl he'd normally try to date. He made me feel ugly and worthless without openly saying anything abusive.
