russia will block any no fly zone, and also syria has some serious anti-aircraft defenses, i dont think a no-fly zone will happen

This is too weird to predict. Iran is playing both sides. The have had surrogate boots working with the Rebel. Republican guard types helping to usher in all the foreign fighters. Iran Army in Syria puts Iran on Israel's and Jordan's border.
The Brotherhood is playing both sides with Iran but as opposites. Sending foreign fighters but severing ties with Damascus. Nerve gas seems an accepted play.
It's War. Nothing good can come of it except survival of the most ruthless.

Actually, IRGC is only supporting Al-Assad. While it still has ties to Hezbollah, their focus is and will be Syria. FSA released 48 IRGC soldiers held captive since last year. There are also a heap of IRGC in advisory roles training the Syrian army in FID.
The only credible reports I've read of chemical weapon use has been supplied by NATO to the FSA & Al Nusrah. NATO has also provided necessary training in use, handling, transport etc... 12 Al Nusrah jihadists were picked up in turkey with 2kg of sarin gas recently - which help to bolster UN reports of Chem weapon use by rebel jihadists.

Oh Great! Obama has gained approval from Congress to send weapons to our allies in Syria.
Let's see, what address? Who has the list of allies?
Well, Assad is fighting Al Q, with Iran fighting on both sides, so will always win this, no matter.
Who has that address? Who gets these weapons? Druz? Any good guys? Coptics? Probably not.
Why can't we have a no-fly? Oh, right. Lost those 20K MANPADS, in Benghazi.

The trick is, no matter what happens, get most people blaming the Constitution.
Then when Obama-Oness of the future, puts down the civil unrest, (after they let it grow in rage, and cut off the food, [too dangerous] to make it worse) then it will not matter. All the violence will be blamed on the Founding Docs.
