howdy folks been a few since I updated the bubba and I just had problems with one of my grapefruit's . darn it never stop learning and I guess it was my fault. I've been using vermisoil tea products and it seems the silt has clogged my soil. I make it in a 55 gallon drum with the humas and bat guano in a fine mess bag. I brew it for 48 hrs then feed once a week. I noticed a few weeks back that it wasn't draining as well as it should be when I dump the 5 gallons of tea in so I figured I'd change out my soil next year. then I noticed the grapefruit turning yellow on one side. she was dead in a week. now I've had to go out with compressed air and blow into my soil to hopefully get some drainage and oxygen to the roots of my other plants before they die too.

I've killed plenty in my time with stupid mistakes. Hope the others aren't affected! Beautiful garden! Wish I could grow them like that in Florida....might be able to if it was legal, but it's hard to beat that N. Cali climate!

Ouch Nuggs! That looks nasty! Is that the only one that's done that so far?
so far it's the only one that has done this. I have that one clone in the grow bag that has a problem too but it's different not sure and i'm hoping you will know what it is. the tips are all turning brown no new growth and its traveling down to the 3 node now and it has leave curl. never seen one act like it before. looks like it is locked up . we'll check it tomarrow. thanks bro

I've never been to Florida an often wondered why it isn't a good growing state besides the legal issue. isn't the climate there good too.

ouch man I feel your pain! I cringed at the sight of that grapefruit - the bigger they are the harder they fall, eh? I have a tangerine dream that has just been struggling since late may - it's been on the verge all season because of my hot soil mix frying the bejesus out of it. when yer only allowed a handful you don't want to lose ANY since there is no way in hell you can make that time up with new starts

Sorry to hear about the loss of grapefruit, I'm dealing with some yellowing myself on my Vortex, but I think it's from over fertilizing. It's hard to watch them go through these stages of stress.
