Is flushing needed in Hydro?

To flush or not to flush.
Hi RIU land,
I am using Fox Farm hydro Nutes
big bloom
grow big
tiger bloom for flower.
do I need to flush as it how's in the schedule?
FF sells a flush, they call for 4 flushes.
the flush is called Sledgehammer Flush.

do I need the Kangaroot if my roots are growing well?
what about the microbe brew is it also needed.
the hydro store directed me to FOX FARM products but said I only need the 3 products not the whole line.

am I under feeding by only using 3 of the 7 nutrients they list on the feeding chart?

I am a Newbie and I have lush plants with lots of roots in 4" cubes at 18 days.

I am using rock wool and it will be in Hydro ton.

I had one seed sprout two plants it would be great if I had twin females.
They are sharing the cube and I am training them away from each other.

Id buy some drip clean little goes a very long way, I use to flush every 2 weeks for 24hrs but during the 24hrs I had my flood more often then what I normally would. Then I would dump res.

You could measure your ppm and flush with water & clearx and 8 hrs later check ppm see if it rises then check ppm again in 8 hours if ppm is same I'd add my nuets and carry on..... Could do that too but again I went with emptying my res since it mde me feel like I was doing something lol

Flushing isn't really need unless you start to get deficiency's or you want to be sure you dont get salt build ups


Plants look nice and healthy... Good luck with the rest of your grow

Arjan from Greenhouseseeds.nl also known as the king of cannabis reccomends flushing hydro systems several times during the flowering process, and damn he gets some awsome growth...

bag seed 7 are the same 1 is from a different bag.

Here are some quick picks shows Supercropping right side was done yesterday and even with half of the branch broken the tip turned up overnight!
Did the left break today, I am praying I am training a Female!

If all the seeds from a specific bag are growing and they look differently like leaf shape, color smell, inter nodal spacing being close on some and longer on others.

Can any of that help detect Sex Early or without forcing a cutting?

does anyone know if you Early Signs of sex even exist or can be determined before the Balls and hair?
Things like node spacing, bushiness, being shorter than its "family".

I am praying I have even 1 female out of my 8 plants.

Flushing is completely and utterly useless unless you have a nutrient lockout from a really high or really low pH. Other than that you are wasting your time. Even at that, you can't "flush" hydro, all you would do is take out nutrient water and just use plain water.
