Bulb Question Please

Hi-

I have a 250 watt lamp. If I add another 250 watt bulb, would it be the same as having a 500 watt bulb ?

Not quite, but close. HPS bulbs produce more lumens per watt the higher the wattage gets, so 2 x 250w < 500w. Also you must think in terms of the canopy penetration, again the higher the wattage the better canopy penetration. However this is offset by the fact that you'd have 2 sources instead of one....

Well, well.....well, lets play riu. First off, he didnt say anything as to what the bloody hell hes doing. One plant, ten, hydro, dirt, coco, rice, who knows right? I directed him to a source of knowledge so he can learn. Ive never grown with a 250. Ever. Cfls, leds, mh, hps, and floro tubes.
