Hello all,
This is my first attempt growing.
I bought a starter package at HTG supply that included:
•(1) 20" x 36" x 64" silver Mylar-lined growtent
•(1) Gen 3 UFO LED grow light
•(4) single-lamp T5 fixtures
•(4) T5 HO 6500k lamps (I added 4 3000K lamps)
•(3) Daisy chain cords (for connecting T5s together)
•(1) Heavy-duty timer
•(6) THREE-GALLON grow bags
•(1) 6" Clip-on fan (for air circulation)
•(1) GrowBright 6" inline duct fan
•(1) Thermometer / Hygrometer

I upgraded with a 7Band 240w LED Grow Light and replaced the grow bags and soil with
1) 5 Gal. Bubble Boy Four Banger DWC
4) 5 Gal. Bubble Boy Single ShotDWC

I have 4 seeds that are starting in the 4 site DWC and plan to move the 3” net pots into the 6” singles in a few more days. I haven't seen much discussion here about adding side lighting in a tent grow. Any thoughts or comments appreciated. Peace!

Those should be some killer seeds for you. Northern Lights will be ace if you get the right pheno and White Russian is a growers best friend!

Cool time lapse vid.

Thanks! I am hoping to have the camera on through the entire grow. I tried to choose seeds that would be easy for a newby. :)

Ok, yesterday I was checking my seedlings and the AK47 root looked strange. It seemed to be growing OUT of the starter medium rather than INTO it. I thought I would just tap it down and see if it would make contact with the plug. I kinda "snapped" down. I am wondering if I might have broke it a little. It is still alive, but growing more slowly than the others. Here is a couple pics. Thoughts?P7300208.jpgP7300212.jpg

I got some advice here that my lights were too far away or too weak, causing plants to stretch. Decided to plug in the LED, even though I had read that seedlings do not need intense lights. I took some readings on electrical usage: Seems like it varies a bit. Not surprisingly less than the "240" rating. Here is the breakdown on the spectrum: P7310216.jpg I am starting off with light about 16" from plants. Hope this will be close to correct distance.

Look at that Northern Lights already outpace the others! That strain is still the fastest growing and most forgiving strain on the planet IMO. Love it.

Today I topped and FIMed all my plants. As I am a rookie, I probably did it wrong but that is how we learn, yes?

I am crazy about how well three of these babies are doing!

My AK47 was “topped” today. Still looks awesome! Day 22

White Russian is growing well and seems healthy, though it still has a different coloration. Day 22

Northern Lights topped and very healthy.Day 24

My problem child, Pineapple Chunk plant. I attempted to FIM her early today. Later I gave her a bath in some H2O2 water to help her roots. Hope that helps. Took the nute level way down and will change reservoir water in a day or two if things look okay.

Northern Lights plant is now about 4.5 inches tall and 14" wide! Trying to get a handle on root problems with enzyme and bacteria
