8 - 1,000 watt lights, how many plants should I be flowering in coco / sour diesel?

I have a 400 square foot warehouse space and will be using 8 1,000 watt lights and would appreciate some advice on how many sour diesel plants in 5 gallon coco I should be flowering with this space and amount of lights. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to get these plants to be about 6 ft tall as well.

depends on veg time, if you do a long veg you could put 1 plant per 1000w in a big scrog, or you could do 20+ midgets in a SOG per 1000w. I'd say you can get 6 big plants per 1000w, though maybe advice from someone running a similar grow would be better

If youre growing large plants because of plant count being a factor due to laws might i suggest some 400-600 watt lights hung vertically one inbetween each 4 six foot plants to supplement your 1000s overhead.

Honestly though if it were my grow i would scrog the plants under large screens as a six foot plant veg time is a month or two at least. in that time you could fill 6x6 screens and only need 1-4 plants per light depending on how long you wanted to veg for. then you dont need vertical lights and all your buds would be tops.

If you dont have qualms with plant numbers I used to grow a room with 8000 watts in it right next to the 6k room in my avatar. I did 64 plants in NFT rows of 8 and they were about 3 footers.

If youre going buckets and hand watering id def keep count lower just becaise 64 buckets is a fuckload to water. When doing NFT or a flood table or something its much easier.

If youre dead set on 6 foot xmas trees Id suggest one plant per 1000

this dude says one to 4 plants per light, dude go for 80 plants 100 watts per plant. it will work. maybe you do need screens though. but one threw 4 plants for eight lights its not enough plants. you would waste allot of power as his rate.

The OP mentioned wanting 6 foot plants..I laid out scenarios with which im familiar having grown everything from 150 watt light to entire houses running so much wattage itd evaporate200 gallons of water a day through transpiration.

With 8000 watts id personally grow 50 to 60 mid sized plants in active hydro like nft...which I mentioned above if you had read.

THE man askef about 6 foot trees so I gave him good advice on that having seen an uncle of mines grow with 25 six foot or so plants due to plant count limits...and he fucking kills it running one plant per 1000 hps with vertically hung 400 watt MH bulbs between the plants. You know canopy and internodes mean WAY more than plant count right?

You nailed it on the head right there shiva. Don't worry too much about him, we all know he doesn't pull anything close to what you do. He's just a noob spouting off.



As already mentioned, there are many options available. Scrog a single beast of a plant under each light or do a bunch of tiny plants, and anything in between. I usually run a single plant under a 600w and pull ~20 ounces (depending on strain) in a 2'x4' space, no more than four weeks of veg.
