Carbon filter question

if you are not using a tent or a smaller grow space to put the plant in you will need a carbon filter and fan with ratings to clear your whole bedroom which is a bit overkill just to have 1 plant in it. i would either build a temp space around the plant and put a fan and filter on that can clear that smaller space no problem or i would just make your plant smaller but cutting it down and using the cuts to make cuttings for a sea of green for your next grow... is your plant still on 18/6 or has it been switched to 12/12 yet?

you get 'ok' tents from ebay for around the £50 mark that are better than building something yourself as they have vent holes, zipped doors front and side and they have the reflective insides also and are pretty much light proof out the box, you can completely light proof them with a little work to them.

but you have the beginnings of a monster there, what light are you using on that plant?

shes still on 18/6 because i moved 3 times since she was a baby and it wasnt 100% 12hr darkness for the switch,, too risky to fuck up so i let her grow and i guess she overgrew... had her under a 400w hps for a while and its been a week or two shes under a 400w Mh, i guess il cut her up... Can you kill the plant by taking too many cuttings off ?

i have built a diy 3x3x6 grow tent before for under 60 bucks made from pvc and panda film with a couple tarp zippers for the door worked great

Do you have anything venting heat out of the closet? If so just install like this:

I built the carbon filter for $26 and it works great (I just posted this to someone else's thread)

Works great for me, cant smell a thing, I use a little ONA gel for when I need to open to door to work on my plant.

She looks lovely, I hope you have a shit ton of lights, a 400 wont get very far down the plant, maybe you can list her vertically.

hbbum where's your fan?
The top 6" of the grow box has ducting and wiring, then vents out to my garage with the fan and a muffler (fairly large) which makes it pretty damn quiet when I run the fan around 50%. My space is small, so I try to keep as little as possible in there, I also figured anything that used electricity could create heat, so I wanted to keep that to a minimum as well.

sounds very efficient, heat is an issue with my set up at the moment but I've only just got it. Thanks for answering my question from what I can tell it's some what of a faux pas to do so on some one else's thread.
