this is an outdoor, very low cost grow. like i said in the OP i did it last year, and got some great bud, but only had 2 plants. im doing the same thing on a bigger scale except with a little more experience. they are doing fantastic, but im curious in some nutrients in the veg stage. but im not gonna pay an arm and a leg.

don't be jealous of those indoor growers brah! Because they'd much rather have an outdoor operation any day. No matter how nice those indoor plants can look. A true 'Connoisseur of Ganga', will tell you 8 out of ten times they prefer outdoor plants!!! Go figure!
I will also tell another reason to grow outside instead of inside...electrical bill! Many electric companies turn in residents to the DEA when said residents electrical bill jumps more than 200%. I sat in federal prison listening to countless stories of guys getting busted for indoor plots!!! It's only a matter of time too. Some new growers are oblivious to this too, and find themselves in federal prison the first year of their operations. To make matter worse, they tried their operations under the nose of their parents. In the end the parents lost their home thru the DEA Seizure Act. Do you wanna loose you home for a few plants?Read my lips boys & girls,.....never, ever grow on your own property inside or outside! I don't care if they are only starters. The feds will count every starter a one pound! I mean look at "Homey", he's gonna let a bunch of trashy starters possibly ruin his life because of his location. Don't be lazy, and don't be crazy! Get those "stretched out starters into the woods at another location where they can make a comeback! Dude, you can't be "Johnny Appleseed" with cannabis. You can't just throw seeds into the ground and expect epic plants, just ain't gonna happen. Those starters are crying out for proper love, and if you can't give it. Do what the other person here said. Start over.
How tall were your two plants last year? Do you have pics of them too? I can't imagine you having very much bud if those two plants went the same route as your new starters?
One last thing brah. I'm not african-American. I'm mixed though, Hawaiian, Japanese, Tahitian, French. I kinda get offended by racial terms or statements, and the last time I looked "Porch Monkey" was just that...racial! Why not change your handle?

the thread title stays because they are just words. they accurately describe wuts going on. and i happen to think its funny.
im not really looking for any morality pointers. the cops around here have better things to do than looking for weed, especially with fuel prices they way they are.
i wont go to jail for getting caught, i could care less honestly. i mean you get caught in the woods, going to or from, there are risks, this is an illegal hobby.
i dont have pics, but with one topping they grew to be about 2 feet high and tree like, i pulled most of the leaves from the bottom 6 or 8 inches. it was lovely and i got about an ounce a piece dried. both bag seed like all of these. the only ones that made it through seedling stage both turned out to be female. each had about 20 buds
i do have a plan in the works for some clones if i ever get em. it will have a little more invested in it. but until then ill try my luck with the porch.
and sorry if you are offended but c'mon this is the internet toughen up a little.
i just dont think one should have to invest so much money to start out, or have wooded area to their access. i dont exactly want to put my plants on someone elses property either.

been on a half turn rotation cycle when the plants look like they are starting to lean a little too far towards the sun.
also rearranged them, a little. the ones close to porch railing were getting a shaded in the morning i think.
many are getting ready to push out 3rd or 4th node, around 4 or 5 nodes i will topping them all. do you guys find it better to pinch? or just cut with a razor or scissors? im not cloning any of these cuttings, and pinching works great on other plants.
also rearranged them, a little. the ones close to porch railing were getting a shaded in the morning i think.

we are 32 days or so (smoke another one)
i added a little bone meal 3 or 4 days ago and it seemed to help. it was really only a light sprinkle at this point. away from the stem itself.
a slight stench when i open the porch in the morning. its quite uplifting.
even tho these are all bag seed and will be stretched slightly. none if i can pinch a little magic out of em.
who knows which ones could be male or female. im still banking on half of them being males.
one has the distinct sativa shaped leaves compared to all the others. ill keep an eye on it and if it does anything in the coming weeks ill be sure to post it. not worth getting my hopes up yet.
i did top around 9 or 10 of them. 2 had wrinkly misshaped set of 2nd leaves growing. probably some god awful genetics going on haha
hopefully they will bush out nicely and be ready to be topped again soon. other than watering every 3rd or 4th day, mother nature is doing the rest.

all have been topped and started to bush out nicely.
small aphid problem arose with some hot weather. i used some safer brand organic soap spray and it seems it has gotten most. i will spray again, this should take care of any eggs laid that made it through the spraying. ive used this on weed before and never had any issues. but it was before any bud was produced. not sure if its good to use during flowering or not.
but aphid skeletons are everywhere! sorry guys!
in the front row there are two noticeably smaller plants, not sure if they are stunted, but both are bushier and have more nodes than the rest.
bi weekly i have tossed the top soil with my fingers and pushed it towards the plant stem if cotyledon are showing. the tossing of the soil allows oxygen in, much like aerating your lawn. ive done it with every kind of plant ive raised and it can make a plant jump over night, i highly recommend it.
i do have a couple mutant fan leaves on a couple of the bigger plants, but we will see wut happens to them and just hope for it to be male!
i still only have to water about 2 times a week. ive started to use peroxide and its keeping my soil mold free. the humidity was unbelievable for maine. for 2 days straight it was muggy as a jungle and mold grew over a days time. it was minor but the peroxide really did the trick. i only eye balled it, using just 2 seconds worth into my gallon jug.
other than those minor glitches, everything is going pretty smoothly right now, and im looking forward to see wut sex these are.
