I got banned for spam? Only set up the account a few days ago and had not even posted anything yet? Is that normal?

I think this is a pretty cool site with very useful information, but do people normally get banned for no reason at all lol?

The mods around here are pretty cool. I've definitely made a few posts that would have gotten me kicked off of other, slightly nerdier forums. I think its BC whenever one of us gets worked up, instead of going nuclear we pack one up and take a rip and switch to peace treaties.

It might've been a mistake? I've seen spam threads hang out for a day or two on the 1st page without getting taken down. I like how they give us freedom of speech around here; spam is one of the things I do like to see taken care of, but only if its really spam.

no not usually.... but i have noticed quit a bit of spamming lately
movie downloads
fake ids
etc.
are you sure your account didn't get high jacked?
oh well don't take one bad experience and expect them all to be that way

if its your account why do you have two different IP address's your current ip address and the one on the other account are different, are you using some sort of proxy or tor program? and you wouldve had to have posted to getbanned for spam. please be as honest as possible

if you dont post , you cannot be hit by the filter for spam

no one is using your account that is ridiculous i dont even know why the other user said that, like come on its highly unlikely that would happen
your account was banned on 01-24-2013 im not going to go back to january to find it sorry i am limited on time thats almost over 8 months ago
we wouldve deleted like millions of spam by than im not going to do that

just make an account and dont spam anything be constructive

If you have a look at mine it will change every now and then and never show where I'm ACTUALLY at, it's because I only have 3g connections the mobile internet stuff isn't static like hard lines. Don't know how it works but most websites think I'm in Durban and I've only been there twice.
And my buddy next door will show the same IP as mine because we share via WiFi he's got no signal at his spot so it's routed by wire. IP's don't mean much any more.
