actully its the ones willing to fight that create peace. we all know humans need to be policed its in our nature to do nasty things to each other

so what do we have accross the world in ever country?

thats right police, now these guys keep the peace. they litterally make our lives peaceful, but they do have guns and they will stop you if you try to break the peace with those guns. does that make them nonpeace loving? no it makes them the most peace loving because they are will to do the dirty work for peace

but thier not perfect and niether are we as a country, but atleast they allow us to have peace 95% of the time

weakness will not stop the people who destroy peace, they only understand one thing and to have peace we must make them understand

Panda, It's bankrupting our Nation. These wars and military bases all over the world are fucking expensive. It's time to reign in the dogs of war and let peace have a chance. They are only doing it for corporate interests anyway. I've explained this many times on this forum.

i agree on so many levels with you but i think theres a misconstrued meaning of what fighting is, fighting does not equate violence.
and not everyone is so lucky across to globe to have a police force like the us.

The problem with this war is that it's not the roman way.
I'm not sure if any war in history had been handled in this manner.
Winning a war makes money, not loses it.
now if we had 100% control of the oil fields and my gas price drops down to 60 cents a gal....staying in the middle east for 100 yrs is a great plan.but sadly,thats not the case.

So it's all about you, the cost in human lives, those that die and are maimed only matter to their distraught relatives? I think War is the most evil ignorant device on the planet and it's about time man evolves past that. Get rid of the nukes accross the board, draw up intercountry peace plans and learn to share the good about people, Yea we have to reign in the evil doers, and find a way to contain them. One way I heard worked, was to string them upside down in a public square naked, and let everyone take a swing at them with a baseball bat, worked for Musolini, may work for Bush and Cheney., and all the rest that were involved in starting a war in Iraq. LOL~, this will undoubtably bring out the wrath of the Bushies, Have at it, you're wrong anyway,~LOL~.

I give two shits about Iraq/Iran or it's people.
I like the idea of stringing them up....as they like the idea of decapitation.

If that is the case, it kinda backfired on us.
I didnt start the war, so I wouldnt know the real reasons behind it.
All I know is my gas in ILL is $4.60 a gal. Because of our government/ in spite of our government, I havent got a clue.

I have all of the question and none of the answers.

though i think the evil of slavery may top war, it would be nice to stop it none the less. the problem is that one of the greatest single expenditures for most every nation that ever existed was its military. aggression is so deeply rooted within the nature of man that you might have a tough time weeding it out. we are predators. not meek grazing creatures, but combative animals designed for the hunt. a creature's nature does not change unless there is a reason. unless our belligerence comes with too high a price our essence will not change.

you know how much i hate to agree with you, but i've often wondered what would happen if one country unilaterally disarmed themselves of all nuclear weapons. i'd imagine that no other country would believe them and the status quo would continue. without the threat of such massive retaliation, would the minor skirmishes that plague us increase or would global tensions ease? is the idea of mutually assured destruction all that keeps the big dogs from going after each other or is it a stumbling block to peace?

sounds more like revenge than justice. string up the criminals and let everyone they have ever wronged take a swing at them to get out all those pent up frustrations.
