.. just read about this one, but it seems that the offices of skunk magazine were raided last week..
not much of if any more info than that atm,y just seems kind of silly to raid a magazine's offices imo, but shouldn't really be all that surprised i guess, even though skunk is canadian based..
sad day..

Sorry this isn't about skunk magazine Racer but have you seen this show?? http://www.spike.com/episodes/l4rt9j/dea-marijuana-grow-house-season-1-ep-106
nah, i can't stomach any of those type of shows.. dea, cops, pot cops, drug smuggling gone awry or w/e it's called, so not for me.. i get about 5 minutes into any of them and start yelling and my t.v., lol..
seriously though, those type of shows make my blood boil and my blood pressure goes through the roof, completely being honest here..

That's really fucked up to raid a magazine, but not surprising considering the government nowadays. All hail the fucking gestapo. I have never even remotely entertained subscribing to HT or Skunk; I would rather pay double for it at the store. Oh, and don't use your frequent customer card and always pay in cash for these mags.

Couldnt have said it any better myself, the same goes for when visiting the Hydroponic store,Cash only. But why in the fucks a magazine store?Maybe Hempy's suggestion could be a possiblity.Im inclined to think that may have been the only reason behind the raid.I mean shit like this usualy happens when there is a grow op or a known dealer, but a mag store>?Makes you really wonder about big brother being involved.

In that link I posted to that DEA show, agents in Michigan use an aerial infrared imaging as grounds to obtain a search warrant for a suspected grow house. That's pretty scary especially considering Michigan is a med state.

yeah, i don't get the reasoning behind it either tbh.. i can't imagine them allowing workers to bring drugs into the office on a daily basis, but maybe they did, idk..

the only other thing i could think of is they were looking for leads into big grows, and knowing that a magazine such as skunk would have some pretty deep connections in the grow world, but that seems kind of far fetched imo, and i can't see a warrant being signed off with that as a reason, although i'm sure stranger things have happened..

In America cops aren't allowed to just scan houses with a FLIR. They have to obtain a warrant first.
So they must have already had evidence on the guy... (or they just dont care and did it anyway...)

RB do you have any specifics about SKunk?

Maybe the business next store got sick and tired of smelling weed all day and called the cops to be dicks...
Anything could have happened.... Maybe somebody didnt pay their taxes...

I thought that was illegal though isn't it?? I was under the impression that FLIR was not allowed to be used unless a search warrant was already obtained. Or so that one guy said in the Never Get Raided Movie.

It may sound a bit conspiracy theorist, but I personaly wouldnt put it past them to use that information to start casing houses for possible grows, its kinda scary, and once they know if its a grow house and they can raid it with just the attainment of a warrant, then thats it,D.E.A. finds some way to knock the front door in, because they are bastards.Im a bit noid with that kinda shit.Just My 2 cents.

The NSA shares its info with the FBI and the DEA, if they wanted to they could have a list of every single grower who is part of the online community...
Most of us are "small" enough that they just dont give a shit.. They are after the big commercial ops...

But I wouldnt put it past them anyway...lol
